2015 = Fresh, Fit and Fabulous...

Ok, so I know everyone's aim right now is to get to the gym and kick off the year as a new improved versions of themselves, however we really do mean it!! US London Mice HAVE to mean business with just eight weeks until a Dubai trip to shift those indulgent Christmas pounds! With our break booked, we have the inspiration in place - now we just need to keep motivation up, calories down and gym training constant...no mean feat eh!?!

With the mornings and evenings still freezing cold and pitch black, the only way through is to make it every bit as enjoyable as we can and here's how we propose to do it...!

1. Dress to impress...

Admittedly unless you look like this...

...it's always going to be pretty difficult to look good with a day's make-up melting down your face and sweat patches growing by the second, however if we're going to kill ourselves by treadmill, we will look good doing it!!

The go to place to kit yourself out? Net-a-Sporter. They have the very best Sport section which pretty much covers anything you desire from gym wear to Yoga, Sailing to Tennis...you name it they have it covered!!

However for now I think we'll stick to gym wear only, see below for our current lust list...

Bodyism Printed Sports Bra, £50...

2. Spinning is out, Spiralizing is IN!

HK mouse posted about this craze last year and it's been top of my shopping list ever since. However, what with all the Christmas bustle, acquiring the kit somehow totally slipped my mind, until we ripped open our very own Spiralizer on Christmas Day!

With our tummies constantly rumbling after getting far too used to snacks every 15 minutes over the festive period, all we're craving at London Towers is comforting roast potatoes, cheese and pasta! So here's hoping our new spiralizer will quickly trick us into thinking courgettes are big steaming bowls of spaghetti!!!

They look convincing enough to me...

I'm planning to get experimental this week so watch this space for some inspiralization my friends, however if you need help before then The Londoner has a beauty for you right here...

*WARNING* if you're watching the calories DO NOT look!!

3. Be a Sunday sinner!

In the hope of transforming my body into a temple of health, I'm not going to kid myself into thinking I can cut everything enjoyable out! Therefore I've decided to follow all the rules Monday to Saturday (as much as humanly possible) and have Sunday as my cheat day!

I'm not planning anything crazy but if I've been craving chocolate all week this is when I will allow it, but no binging!

Other than that I will be busy sipping hot water and lemon, green juices, bathing in epsom salts, body brushing, munching on kale and drowning myself with all the water I'm drinking! WOW the fun I have ahead...!!

This Week The Mice Have Mostly Been....

A short week is always welcome in 3BM world...yes you end up running around like a mad thing to meet all your deadlines but what's new there...I'd much rather get the Friday feeling just a little bit sooner!

If you saw our bank holiday post earlier this week, you already know we had a pretty non-stop weekend, so a more chilled version is definitely required this time round. Whether that happens or not remains to be seen but our intentions are all good!!

When we haven't been recovering from killer hangovers and trying to get back into the swing of 6am wake ups, this week the Mice have mostly been...

Pouring over the preview piccies of the brand new Kate Moss for Topshop range. She's had a three year break and has been squirrelled away for nearly a year designing her new collection which is set to hit the high street on 30th April.

Now we all remember the previous ranges with the pansy tea dress and the lipstick red layered maxi dress that
everybody and anybody was dying to get their hands on...

However you'll be happy to hear that her latest creations have moved on a fair bit with lots of laidback, boho daytime looks and a whole host of cool glamour for the evening shift! Think fringing, aztec embroidery, sequins, stars, beading, tailoring...pretty much a list of everything we need to make our wardrobe FABULOUS!!

From the pictures we've seen there seems to be a lot more of the true Kate embedded in this range. In fact, we got more than a touch of de ja vu whilst flicking through the snaps of the collection - La Moss has clearly drawn inspiration from outfits hanging in her own closet. Have a peruse of a select few 3BM favs...

And to put it all into context... **WARNING** don't scroll down if you're MasterCard is already weeping...you WILL want everything....

In essence you can look as chic and effortlessly fashionable as Miss Moss at a fraction of the price...who could say no to that!?

Get 30th April in your diary and if the Topshop website crashes (we cannot have another Isabel Marant for H&M office drama!) head on over to Net-a-Porter where the collection will also be available to snap up!

Glued to the TV with our new box set obsession Scandal. I can openly admit I love a bit of TV trash as pure escapism at the end of a hard day or when stuck to the sofa in a hungover stupor. So we were pretty panic struck this Easter weekend when we realised we were fully up to date with Greys Anatomy, Nashville, Girls and Private Practice....what the hell to watch next!?!

We toyed with the favourites everyone is raving about...Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Games of Thrones...and in our hungover state, came up with various reasons why none of them would cut the mustard! After two hours of deliberating (and a Facebook pledge for help!) we agreed on Scandal!

In short a political thriller TV series loosely based on the life of George H.W. Bush's press aide Judy Smith (also the co-exc producer). The main character Olivia Pope is beautiful, ridiculously smart and empowering...when I grow up I want to be her!

The show centres around Olivia Pope's Crisis Management company with its quick-witted staff and of course the White House...not forgetting a huge side of illicit affairs, drama and plenty of secrets lurking under lock and key!

If you're not already hooked, get watching my friends...!

Tick tick ticking off the days until my next holiday! As you all know by now, the only thing that keeps us Mice happy is to have a getaway in the pipeline!

However, with a holiday comes skimpier outfits and of course baring our bod on the beach! That can only mean one thing...hello fitness fanatic! I have to admit I massively fell off the healthy bandwagon post-Barbados...so I need to approach this with a vengeance.

It all began over the weekend...a thirty minute run incorporating a further thirty minutes of sit-ups, lunges and squats. Let's just say that I was a pretty sorry sight for the next 3 days!!!! All that good work may have been slightly undone by the unlimited champagne brunch straight after my workout but, I like to think I made some serious headway towards my hot bod goal!!

So with my fitness hat on, these days I'm all about my five a day, minimal carbs and oodles of gym sessions. Whilst fully embracing my new mind set (and maybe during some bikini shopping) I stumbled across these fabulous Victoria's Secret sports bras...who says you can't stylishly sweat! You never know who you might bump into - I'd strongly advise getting a different one for everyday...

So that's us done for another week, it may not be four days long but here's to another fabulous weekend ahead...now go get those party pants on!

Get Fit, Get Fabulous...

So as you may have read yesterday in our 2014 resolutions post, one of mine is to get bikini fit. Not overly unusual but one I am deadly serious about. I want to feel good, healthy and a lot less tired and lethargic than I did in 2013.

I'm not going to start any crazy crash diets or promise not to drink, as I want this to be an ongoing change, so it needs to be realistic. So I've decided to go back to basics - eat healthily, cut out refined carbs as much as possible and strictly no chocolate or crisps. That paired with regular exercise should be a good basis and I swear to swap large glasses of wine for gin & slime line tonics! I may step this up closer to Barbados beach o'clock in March but for January this is my plan.

If, like me, the gym can be a laborious task mixed with slight fear and something akin to a rabbit in the headlights, then 3BM has just the solution for you.

If cash is no issue then I obviously highly recommend a gym trainer, firstly there is no greater motivation than a hot toned man to get you to the gym but most importantly they push you, make you do exercises you'd never dream of doing alone and give you the comfort of being in the capable hands of somebody who knows their stuff.

However, if like me you currently can't afford another monthly outgoing on top of gym membership, then you simply need to download the Nike Training App
to your phone. It's basically like having a gym trainer everywhere you go with all sorts of workouts designed for you at the tap of a Smartphone.

Firstly you select the type of work out you want:

- Get Lean (to slim down)
- Get Toned (to get defined)
- Get Strong (to build your strength) or
- Get Focused (shorter 15 minute workouts to target specific areas)

You then select your level - beginner, intermediate or advanced, and select your workout within there. There are pictures, videos and details of how each exercise should be carried out, it can be set to music and either followed manually step-by-step or played through your earphones like an instructor telling you what to do and when to start and stop!

I'm literally obsessed with Get Focused workouts, with names like 'Bikini Legs', 'Alpha Abs' and 'Better Butt' it's all the inspiration I need to get my resolution going!

As always changing your eating is the easier part and having professional gym workouts at your fingertips is half the battle, however actually getting yourself to the gym is much much trickier! So I thought I'd end with some inspiration to get fit and most certainly fabulous...!

This Week The Mice Have Mostly Been...

Let's start with a celebratory statement...

Hooray - how good does that feel? Friday is finally here! What a week it's been - all work and no play WHATSOEVER - sad Mice. But, good things come to those who work hard (our 3BM take on the saying) ... today Mini Mouse and I are off to Paris with our favourite school pals for lots of gorgeous food, booze, shopping and dancing! Stay tuned for all our Parisian tales...

Over in Hong Kong, HK Mouse is off for a little staycation at the Hotel Indigo and can't wait for a weekend of complete relaxation and a good explore around the Wanchai neighbourhood. Again, she'll be spilling all the details on the blog very soon...!

That aside it's been event central of late so our extra curricular activities have been all about trying to attend as many as possible as you'll see from the below. Without further ado... This week the Mice have mostly been...

Feeling fabulously festive with Diptyque. Every year the Parisian scent and candle maker brings out a limited edition Holiday Collection to die for and every year they smash all expectations by making the collection bigger and better than the one before. This year is no exception - fellow Mice let me introduce you to the dazzling and oh so colourful Holiday Collection 2014...

I was invited to check out the new collection in-store so off I trotted one chilly evening after work to do just that. I was ushered in from the cold and greeted with a chilled glass of Prosecco - so far so good! The Diptique PRs got to work like santa's little helpers and took me through the new range - I learnt all about the 2014 fragrances and the heavenly packaging. So we have Indian Incense, Orange Chai and my particular fav, Pine Bark. All available in large candle size for £45 and then super cute mini versions at £25. Next up the pine scented Christmas tree ovals - gorgeous idea - you get x3 little wax scented ovals per pack for £35, the idea being that you hang them on your tree as decorations. Indulgent yes but just think of how heavenly the room will smell as a result!

I was then left to wander the store to explore the rest of the festive range whilst snacking on little bites of sugary heaven...

The treats didn't stop there, when it was time to enter what felt like The Frozen Planet outside, I was packed off with a little bag of Diptique goodies to send me on my way...!

Flexing our Mice muscles at a Sweaty Betty blogger event. We were invited down to take a first look at the SS14 Collection - we accepted the invitation in a flash when we realised we had ironically penciled a gym session in for the very same evening ... working out Vs shopping for outfits to work-out in - no contest! After all, it's very important to look good while you get sweaty!

So what did Sweaty Betty have in store for us? First off, LOTS of colour! Neon pink, electric blue, fluro orange and piercing purple filled the press room and immediately lifted my mood after a manic day at work.

I was greeted by the lovely Sally who gave me a brief intro to the event and the collection - for starters I learnt that the new range was inspired by the 'architecture of boats, admiralty charts and sails as well as the vintage era of the 1950s, when sailing become a glamourous pastime.' Stunning photography of the collection, moodboards and seaside black and white shots covered the walls...

I moved around the room taking rail after rail of beautiful fitness wear in - colour popping swimsuits, fashion-forward crop tops, cute and oh so soft off-the-shoulder jumpers and teeny tiny sporty shorts with edge - can I have it all please?!

In conclusion, all that's left to say is have a super duper delightful weekend! See you the other side!

Lots of love

The Mice
