Jewel-tastic...

It's no secret that us Mice LOVE fashion... when a date is put in the dairy be it brunch, cocktails or a holiday, our minds go straight into overdrive planning what we're going to wear for the occasion! Next up on the agenda is a sister trip to New York... Whatsapps are flying around every second with images of our recent purchases and suggestions for one another that we have found on our online shopping trips!

Not only are we planning the perfect travelling capsule wardrobes but we are also pulling together an itinerary of all the shopping hotspots we HAVE to hit up as soon as we land! One that I am particularly excited for is Baublebar

Now back in 2012 we blogged about the amazing Ashley Madekwe - the beautiful actress and fellow fashion blogger, her site goes by the name of 'Ring My Bell'.

If you ever need some wardrobe inspiration I strongly advise taking a little peek, she has amazing style and wears a good mix of designer and high street. Not only is she the queen of fashion, but she also has an amazing collection of bags, shoes (YSL especially) and jewellery, jewellery, jewellery! There's a lot stacking, layering and mismatching rings, necklaces and cuffs going on - and I want them ALL!!!

Well, as luck would have it, I may just be able to have them all… Also back in 2012 we blogged about the super awesome NY-based jewellery brand, Baublebar. And in great news, Ashley Madekwe has collaborated with Baulebar and is currently their guest Bartender. Which basically means that if you hop over to the site, you can shop all Ashley's favourite Baublebar pieces in her carefully curated collection! Even better… each and every piece is really affordable - who wants to save up for one piece when they can get a truck load, well nearly!!!!

We've got our appointment booked at the Bar in NYC and our MasterCards at the ready... peruse these bad boys and watch your shopping list growwwwwww...

On the 3BM iPod: Ella Eyre...

The name may seem familiar and without a doubt you'll recognise her voice, having already collaborated with Rudimental on 'Waiting All Night' and featuring on Naughty Boy's 'Think About It', she's definitely not a nobody. She's currently not known as a solo artist, but that's all about to change, having released her debut EP 'Deeper' in December just gone and she's now set to release a solo single in March and an album later this year - busy bee!

Be prepared for Ella-mania, she's pretty cool!

Ella not only has some unbelievable collaborations already under her belt, but she looks the part and is pretty damn talented too! With her soulful, smokey tone she definitely stands out from the mainstream wannabes and hooks you instantly with her catchy style. Taking a first look at her solo material, I thought 'Deeper' was an easy, fun track making pop just that little bit cooler...

If you like that, just wait until you hear her cover of Jermaine Stewart's classic... you'll love her that little bit more...

The SAG Awards: The Good, The Bad & The Trends

Another week, another myriad of gorgeous gowns to gawp over. Oh, Awards Season, we love you!

Last week we bought you hits and misses from the Golden Globes, today we're rounding up the red carpet trends from Saturday night's Screen Actors Guild Awards. So hold off on getting stuck into that Tuesday morning to-do list for just a few more minutes and channel your inner Joan Rivers - we're the 3BM Red Carpet Fashion Police and this is the SAGs edition...

The Good

Lupita Nyong'o in Gucci
She killed it at the globes in red, and this week Nyong'o continued with the monochrome dressing with a jaw-dropping turquoise Gucci gown. Far and away the best dressed of the night, we can't wait to see her Oscars' look...

Jennifer Lawrence in Christian Dior
Thankfully J-Law was back on her A-game at the SAGs. Unsurprisingly the dress was Dior, but unlike her Globes Dior number, this was pure megawatt glam. Particularly loving that she let the dress do the talking and kept the accessories to just a pair of Jennifer Meyer drop earrings - the perfect way to work that awesome new crop.

Amy Adams in Antonio Beradi
Amy aced it at the Globes in plunging, caped amazingness, and she continued her best-dressed streak on Saturday in this architectural royal blue look. Loved it!

Isla Fischer in Bulgari
Isla brought a massive dose of old school glamour to the SAGs. What could be more fifties screen siren than a tumble of red tresses, a slinky, silky Marilyn-esque gown and some serious rocks all topped off with the perfect scarlet lip. This is how you do awards dressing.

Laura Carmichael in Jerome C. Rousseau
We're loving everything (apart from the bangle) about the Downton Abbey star's SAGs look. Great hair, beautiful gown and that shoe peeking out from her asymmetric hem is just delicious.

The Bad

Michelle Dockery in J. Mendel
Sadly Lady Mary didn't look a patch on Lady Edith. This J. Mendel tuxedo dress somehow manages to be dowdy and far too revealing all at once. Dislike.

Ariel Winter in Badgley Mischka
The print's pretty, the fit's great, but look, we're talking about everything but the obvious here aren't we...? Does Ariel have the Mitchell brothers tucked down the front of her dress??

Mariah Carey in Saint Lauren
The dress is too short and a size too small judging by the fact it's ridden up over her hips, the tights are too granny and the gloves… well, what the hell can we say about those gloves?! Just wrong. Plain wrong.

Kerry Washington in Prada
We absolutely adore the embellished top, her make-up's flawless and we love fuchsia on Kerry. But, there's something about baby bumps and crop tops that just jars with us. We love that the Scandal star isn't playing it safe with drapey tunics but this just seems a step too far.

The Trends
And to finish up, a quick canter through the key red carpet trends...

Life is Like a Box of Chocolates
A kaleidoscope of jewel-toned gowns reigned supreme. With pretty much every hue of the rainbow covered, we can't help thinking of a very stylish tin of Quality Street...

Here Comes the Bride
Just add a veil and a bouquet and this little lot would have been good to walk down the aisle.

Hollywood Screen Siren
We were loving the girls who stepped the glam up a notch and seemed to be channeling Lauren Bacall, Rita Hayworth, Veronica Lake and co. This is a trend we hope features heavily on the Oscars' carpet.

Back to Black
Hard on the heels of the rainbow bright crew were the ladies in black. Although a couple of the all black looks left us cold, when a black dress is done well, there's not much that can top it (we're talking to you Katrina Bowden although why wouldn't you have swept your hair up to show off that stunning caged section of the gown?!).

Remembering an Icon : Audrey Hepburn

Elegant, elfin, icon, timeless, brows, natural beauty are just a few words that spring to mind when I remember Audrey Hepburn. Twenty one years ago today, Hepburn passed, leaving us with a timeless bank of mesmerising memories from her endearing performance in Breakfast at Tiffany's, to her lifelong love and talent for rocking Givenchy with such style and class and her signature cat-eyes sunglasses.

Lets remember and celebrate Audrey Hepburn, the icon.

This Week The Mice Have Mostly Been...

It's F...F…F…Frrriday!

And we have good news - we're over halfway through the dowdiest, dullest month of the year! If January was a shoe, it would be a scuffed, brown pair of lace-up brogues. It would be flat and ugly and not even particularly comfortable.

And to make matters even worse, in January everyone's beyond boring. If we had a martini for every minutely detailed story we've been told this month about new year's fitness regimes/ diets/ months off the booze, we'd be incredibly, incredibly drunk by now… But even if we were 272 martinis down, we'd be dancing on tables all by ourselves because everyone else is at home hibernating, drinking green juices and doing sit-ups… roll on February, pay day and a return to bad behaviour!

Until then, a quick canter through what us Mice have been up to over the last seven days, this week the Mice have mostly been...

Getting into the spirit of Awards Season and pepping up nights curled up on the sofa at home by working our way through the nominated films. We loved the fashion fest that was the Golden Globes red carpet last Sunday, but we've decided that this year we should stop switching off once we've goggled at the diamonds and Couture and take a real interest in who wins what what…

We've still got a few lined up for this weekend but our pick of the bunch so far are...

The Wolf of Wall Street

American Hustle

Her

If so far this month you've been mainly jogging and munching on kale, might we suggest that this Saturday is the perfect time to drown yourself in a ginourmous bucket of popcorn while catching one of these fab flicks…

Getting seriously dizzy at the prospect of the impending Peter Pilotto for Target collaboration! It's no secret that us Mice are more than a little partial to a bit of high fashion on the highstreet. Just a couple of months ago we gleefully bagged a delicious haul of Isabel Marant pour H&M amazingness and now the king of print, Peter Pilotto is teaming up with American discount superstore, Target… This week the lookbook was unveiled and let's just say this promises to be a good 'un. But what about those of us that don't live in the US we hear you cry… well, good news on that front blog buds, our pals at Net-a-Porter have us covered… yes, that's right our fav fashion e-tailer will be stocking the range and shipping it worldwide! So you can snap your slice of bargainous Pilotto from the comfort of your sofa on February 9th - could we BE anymore excited?!

And on that fashion fabulous note, that's it for another week! I'm not sure about you but...

Have an awesome one!
