Hanna Wintour on the Coveteur...

We've raved before about how in love we are with the Coveteur. 

A fashion blog that lets you take a peek inside the homes and wardrobes of fashion's elite and then shop the bits that have you drooling. As we've said before it's like a mix between MTV Cribs and the Foxtons website with a huge side serving of fabulous shoes and Chanel jackets.

So, we were pretty darn excited when Team Cov contacted us to ask if we'd like to work with them to bring our lovely readers sneak peeks of upcoming posts. The chance to see preview snaps of upcoming snoops around fashionista's pads before everyone else? Yes please!

As all you avid Coveteur fans will know, late last year, the website had a little revamp and is now even more shoppable than before (our credit card's HATE Team Cov!). And with every new launch you need a launch party right? Well the Coveteur's relaunch was celebrated with the launch party to end all launch parties...

We're totally in love with all of these fashion mini-mes but it seems that one stood out and has become a little bit of a legend in her own right, the one, the only... Hanna Wintour!

Just as terrifyingly fabulous as the fully grown version and with a closet to prove it, Hanna has been given the full Cov treatment! In just a few short hours we'll all get to snoop around baby Wintour's closet as well as shop all her favourite pieces! YSL I Love You!

As I've blogged before, I'm a little bit obsessed with the amazing through the keyhole style website, The Coveteur.  I love taking a peek into the homes of the super stylish, seeing little details of how they've put their personal space together and drooling over all their amazing clothes, shoes and decor.  A recent favourite was the home of the master of print, Erdem Moralioglu.  Erdem's space is a riot of colour, stuffed to the rafters with books, magazines and neon Nike trainers.  And in amongst the carefully labelled bookshelves and quirky royal family knick knacks are the perfect fusion of colour, design and fashion - a collection of YSL Love posters.

The posters are reproductions of the New Year cards that Yves Saint Laurent designed and sent out to friends and clients every year between 1970 and 2000.  Each card features the word Love but each year's design is unique ranging from swirling art deco snakes to geometric, Matisse-inspired collages to portraits of his beloved French Bulldog, Moujik.  

I immediately fell head over heels for the posters and wanted a set for myself... Google to the rescue!  A couple of clicks of the mouse and I'd discovered not only where I could buy postcard reproductions of the cards, but also a fab new blog to add to my blog reading list, Why Morocco.  Mandy Sinclair, author of Why Morocco, is a Canadian living in Marrakech.  She moved to Morocco in January 2011arriving with no job, no apartment and just a handful of friends.  But things have a funny way of working themselves out.  A year and a bit on and Mandy blogs about her adventures in this little corner of Moorish Africa in a way that makes you want to follow in her footsteps, sell up and move to Marrakech tomorrow.

But what does Mandy have to do with the YSL love cards?

Well Morocco was one of Yves Saint Laurent's great loves.  The French couturier spent a great deal of time in Marrakech and Moroccan influences - from fez hats to djellabahs to turbans - can be seen in many of his collections.  Known for his love of hedonism, YSL was drawn to the exotic centre of glamourous expat excess.  Marrakech drew a jet-set European crowd - a favourite of Mick and Bianca Jagger and host to the legendary parties of YSL's hippie-boho muse, Talitha Getty.

When Yves Saint Laurent died in 2008, his ashes were scattered in the grounds of one of the properties that he owned in Marrakech, the Majorelle Garden.  Today the 12 acre botanical gardens are open to the public and house an Islamic Art museum as well as the full collection of YSL's Love Posters.  The Majorelle Garden is one of Mandy's favourite spots in Marrakech and she's blogged several times about the gardens and the YSL Love Posters.  Postcards of the posters are available to buy from the gift shop and Mandy sells these cards via her blog.  Simply let Mandy know the years that you'd like and she'll send you the cards wherever you are in the world.

Last week my selection arrived and I absolutely love them.  I'm going to frame my cards up and hang them on a wall in my dressing room - a little bit of beautiful YSL Love to get every day started on the right note!  Thank you Mandy!

Stalking and Shopping: The Coveteur

It's the weekend!  We made it through another week!  

Saturday morning and two whole days of weekend stretch ahead of us.  Our perfect Saturday morning recipe?  A Lie-in, back to back episodes of the Kardashians and Sex and the City, tea and bacon sandwiches in bed and a bit of quality blog time.

We admit, we're a little blog obsessed.  If we're not happily tapping away typing blog posts for this, our very own blog, we're happily clicking away, checking out all the latest street style, fashion news and general musings from all the bloggers who inspired us to start our own.

There are the big ones, the ones that everyone knows, Jak & Jil, The Satorialist, Style Bubble and Liberty London Girl.  There are the go to fashion ones, Coco's Tea Party, Fashionista Barbie and 5 Inch and Up.  There are the Hong Kong ones, the Wanderlister, T Like Bubble Tea, Fashion Hedonism and A Pair & A Spare.  There are the ones that we've recently just stumbled across, the gorgeous 52 Suburbs (a Mum and her daughter each week travelling and photographing a different suburb of seven cities across the world) and the hilarious Recipe Rifle (a blog about food and cooking, in equal parts makes us cry with laughter and want to stuff our faces).  

And then there's The Coveteur.

If we could only read one blog for the rest of our lives, we'd pick the Coveteur in a heartbeat.

Its like a mix between MTV Cribs and the Foxtons website with a huge side serving of fabulous shoes and Chanel jackets.

Designer, Erin Kleinberg, and Stylist, Stephanie Mark, started the site just over a year ago.  Together they visit the homes of fashion's elite to give us a little peek into their lives and wardrobes.  From Charlotte Ronson's NYC apartment stuffed with vintage film posters, Louboutins and Sephora lipglosses to Nicky Hilton's LA pad complete with rainbow collection of Balenciaga bags and a shoe closet we'd gladly sell our souls for.  Each post includes a potted biography of the subject, a list of their favourite digital inspiration and a set of beautifully styled images of small details of the subject's home, prized possessions and fashion gems.

Regular helpings of voyeuristic photo gorgeousness featuring all our style crushes.  Could the Coveteur get any better?  Yes, actually, spy Lauren Conrad's delicious gold Christian Louboutin clutch and want one for yourself?  Click on the image and there's a shop option which allows you to click through to an online store so that you can buy the item (or something similar if what you're coveting's vintage or last season).
