This Week The Mice Have Mostly Been...

We don't know about you but, we've got...

We know that there're a few more hours to go before we can pack up our satchels and head off for two full days of cocktails and lazy lie-ins, but we're here to help you while those last few deskbound hours away with a round-up of all that's new and notable in Miceland. So, without further waffle, this week the Mice have mostly been...

Getting hyper over Instagram's genius new time lapse video app, Hyperlapse. While previously creating a time lapse video required expensive kit and lots of time and patience, now we can all create high speed shorts armed just with our iPhones. If you haven't seen it yet, take a peek at the Instagram promo vid to see what all the fuss is about...

We've been madly filming anything and everything ever since we downloaded the app. We've still got some practice to get promo video pro, but here's a little Hong Kong Hyperlapse (with music courtesy of another great app, Lomotif) that we made earlier...

Taking our make-up bags to the next level with a hefty dose of Tom Ford amazingness. We'll happily admit that we're out and out beauty junkies each with bathroom cupboards overflowing with a myriad of eyeshadows, blushers, foundations and lipglosses. So quite how it's taken us this long to invest in a slice of Tom Ford Beauty is a little beyond us. But now that we have, my God are we hooked!

It may be at the higher end of pricey but the quality's incredible and the packaging is so luxe that we want to constantly whip out our TF booty for public touch-ups.

So far we've snapped up the Eye Colour Quad in Cognac Sable - four gorgeous bronzy browns that go on in a perfect buttery smudge, last all day and amp blue eyes up like no other colours we've ever tried.

And we couldn't resist another lipstick to add to our ever growing collections - hello queen of the nudes - Lip Color in Vanilla Suede.

Something tells us these aren't going to be our last Tom Ford purchases... Poor old credit cards!

Waiting with baited breath to see what we'll be wearing next spring as New York Fashion Week kicks off. For the next month we'll be poring over Style on a daily basis, swooning over all the pre-show street style and pinning all our SS'15 inspiration.

In celebration of the start of fashion month, we thought we'd share our current sartorial obsession - our top fashion illustration Instagram accounts. Get following these paintbrush wizards immediately and prepare to see your feed flooded with fashion illustration deliciousness. In no particular order...

Donald Drawbertson
Head of Creative Development at Bobbi Brown by day, illustrator extraordinaire by night, Donald Robertson who's adopted the very apt Insta-moniker, Drawbertson, is an absolute must follow.

StudioDore
When you're one half of a fashion blogging power couple, your Instagram feed is bound to be pretty fabulous. Add in a dash of Parisian chic and a wicked way with a fine-liner and you have Garance Doré's swoonworthy account.

Blairz
The perfectly imperfect pouty girls that Blairz (AKA Blair Breitenstein) sketches are exactly who we'd like to wake-up as this fashion week. In the meantime, we'll just have to make do with wearing one of her beyond awesome Lips & Lashes Tees.

And that's that for another week, so...

Lots of love

Happy Birthday ME...

Somehow another year has whizzed by and my birthday has struck again..soon it will no longer be acceptable to call me Mini Mouse, but for now, I'm planning to milk it for as long as possible!

The day was unfortunately spent at work, however our normal shower, tea and tube routine was pepped up with plenty of presents stops along the way! If we must be rudely woken at some ungodly hour then at least placate us with gifts...birthday or no birthday I say?!

I was truly spoilt all day long with lunch in the sun with my bestie, Champagne celebrations in the office, dinner with Daddy Mouse (which involved more presents) and even as I climbed into bed a tired little Mouse, there were even more Birthday brilliance to dream about! Yup, I have yet ANOTHER Birthday dinner with Middle Mouse still to come and celebrations with all my girls this weekend...another year older, but if it's crammed with as much fun as my 28th year then I'm beyond EXCITED!!

If, like me, you have an ever rolling lust list constantly jotted down in your iPhone then birthdays are pretty handy! The other Mice always demand a Birthday wish list, and this year the list I duly handed over may have been pretty lengthy...!! I got so many beautiful gifts from all my friends and family that I thought it was only fair to share my good fortune..i.e. a little birthday boast!!!

With both Mice constantly gushing about everything Charlotte Tilbury, I decided I needed to get in on the action! I'm now the proud owner of Cheek to Chic in Ecstasy and was pretty much obsessed after using it once! With finely crushed pearls sprinkled into the 2 tone powder you get a perfect glow that transforms a tired dull complexion in seconds! Beauty essential - FACT!

I squealed with delight as I ripped open this beauty...a new addition to my arm candy collection which you will rarely see me without if this week is anything to go by! Not something you can pick up for yourself as a great friend of mine actually brought it in Instanbul however it reminds me of Ottoman Hands who have tonnes of styles like this. I absolutely love the turquoise and gold combo and cannot wait to rock this with a tan on my next holiday!!!

You can never have enough bling in your life and this iPhone cover represents exactly that! It may not be the most practical when typing a long email but it looks great and adds some extra sparkle to my day! Check out the Skinny Dip site for more fabulous designs!

With hectic days running around the grubby streets and underground of London, I'm always on the look out for a day cream to keep my skin healthy and hydrated.

Having resorted to twisting my latest tube into shapes a contortionist would wince at, it was clearly time for a replacement! Thankfully Elemis Hydra-Boost day cream came to the rescue - super light yet keeps my skin moisturised all day long - I always worry that creams for dry skin will be thick and greasy but this gem is anything but that. It also sinks in really quickly after application so can be used as a part of your daily make up routine...no waiting around and making us even later for work!

I'm not sure if anyone else suffers from a post-it addiction but I'm definitely in need of some therapy...or maybe just a set of super nice ones to use in place of the garish boring squares from the stationary cupboard! I can easily get through a packet a day, with an urge to steer away from long To-Do lists, I instead litter by work space with reminders on separate post-its! The only solution? To make my addiction a stylish one...thank you Ms Spade!!

I openly admit my love for bronzer - literally my early morning saviour, plus it's a fact...everyone looks better with a tan even if it's not entirely natural! I have tried SO many brands but always come back to my trusty favourite - NARS in Laguna. It's the perfect shade with a slight sheen to it, ideal for all over use or just highlighting your cheek and brow bones.

Not only was I lucky enough to get a top up of Laguna but also a newbie to try out..NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser. I'm not a fan of foundations as I find them too heavy for every day use but this tinted moisturiser is a great compromise. Firstly it's SPF 30 so your skin is always protected, it's oil-free and goes on as a thin layer perfecting your skin's appearance. On my recent trip to Tuscany I constantly commented on my friend Fran's glowing skin...turns out she's an avid user of this beauty gem!

Middle Mouse totally spoilt me with this amazing Shourouk neon number - the perfect way to add that extra pizazz to an outfit...

Last but by no means least, HK Mouse set off another bout of squeals when I ripped open this YSL number! Sleek, chic, metallic and oh so fun...now I just need an excuse to take her on a shopping trip to display her beauty!!!

I know I know...I am one spoilt Mouse and I loved every single minute of it!!! Now I must start my Christmas list....!!

This Week The Mice Have Mostly Been.

It's not only the weekend again but OH YES it's another bank holiday weekend! With temperatures set to hit 17 degrees in London that can only mean one thing...

WE WISH!!! But I'm sure we can muster copious amounts of alfresco Pimms - one thing that London does better than anywhere else....!!

So when we haven't been counting down the days until fun can officially begin, The Mice have mostly been...

Lusting after the tasting menu at The Clove Club after dropping in for a few post-work cocktails.
Shoreditch Town Hall plays home to this little gem at number 380 Old Street, handily just skip across the way from our new fav 8 Hoxton Square. (If you missed it check our review out here).

Spread across two rooms, you can either opt for a super tasty (or so I hear) meal in the beautifully high ceiling dining room or for a cosy cocktails in the laid back cocktail bar. We opted for the latter and although tempted by the bar snacks, we refrained mainly because we had already been for dinner and that would just be greedy!!

If the cocktails are anything to go by then you're in for a treat - the espresso martinis were the perfect mix of sweet and rich and the amaretto sours so delicious I think we may have discreetly licked our glasses!! OK we didn't as I'm not sure that passes as Clove Club etiquette but if we could have, we mostly definitely would have! At £10 a pop the bar bill could easily creep up, but for an expertly shaken cocktail against a chic, beautiful backdrop I think it's definitely worth as a treat!

They're known for their 5 and 9 course tasting menu for £55/£85, using the best of British ingredients and has been heralded as a 'masterpiece of contemporary aspirations'. Without even seeing the menu I am sold...I now just need another excuse to trot on down!!

Truly embracing that summertime feeling and beadily eyeing up Gray Malin's fabulous iPhone covers. You may remember we raved about his incredible prints of jaw drooping beach scenes back in our August post. If not he simply takes the most beautiful photography from a completely different slant, focusing less on the image before the eye and instead capturing paradise from a bird's eye view.

My dream is to own huge exposed brick walls adorned with Gray Malin beauties...gazing across at one of his pieces is like a dream world of everything I personally deem wonderful...

However in the meantime whilst I save for the walls and the photography, (this could take a while!!) we can all enjoy a slice of Malin at a fraction of the price. Head to his site where you can snap up these genius iPhone cases in a selection of his famous prints for just $45.

Right on that note I must dash...there are people to see, drinks to sip and fun to be had.... ENJOYYYYYYYY!!

On the Case - Dannijo for your iPhone

If you love statement jewels then you're very probably already head over heels for numerous Dannijo bib necklaces, boho luxe crystal cuffs and cocktail ring stunners. For the uninitiated, here are a couple of Dannijo jewelled beauties currently keeping us awake at night...

Sadly these blinging bad boys come with some pretty hefty price tags. Definitely well worth saving your pennies for, but if you'd like a little dose of Dannijo magic at a more affordable price point, how about a little techie treat instead? Step up the Dannijo iPhone case...

Images from Instagram via the Dannijo #ShowUsYourCase Page: http://gramhits.dannijo.com/668712711

Don't get me wrong these cases are still going to leave a bit of a dent in your bank balance. I winced at paying US$98 for an iPhone case when I bagged mine last month, but I pretty much spend 90% of my waking hours holding my phone, and if I have to look at it constantly, it may as well be well-dressed...

For the widest range, shop via the Dannijo online boutique but as international shipping's an eye-watering US$55, unless you live Stateside, it's probably cheaper to get yours via Shopbop (who offer free international delivery and generally have your purchases with you in around 3 days...)

I opted for the Henrik...

But we're also obsessed with these kaleidoscopic lovelies....

Flamingos a-go-go

Every now and then I get an unexplained obsession with something completely random. My current being flamingos.

Yes, I know. All very odd.

Perhaps it's the fact that summer's been a little bit of a damp squib so far and that flamingos are unavoidably cheerful and reminiscent of tropical holidays. Maybe it's their kitschy fabulousness. Or perhaps it's just because they're pink and stand on one leg... Who knows?! All I can say for certain is that anything with a flamingo print or even just anything in flamingo pink is currently crusing up my lust list.

If you need a little flamingo awesome in your life (and frankly who doesn't?!) here are my top picks...
