Top Of The Totes...

I'm starting to think we should be renamed the three little magpies...we love anything shiny and pretty and we're unstoppable when we see something we like! This goes for pretty much everything we lay our eyes on...clothes, shoes, bags, jewellery...you name it, one of us will be making a grab for it!

It doesn't help that we're mid-Fashion Week, where everywhere we turn there's another beautiful photograph uploaded just antagonising that inner fashion magpie!

I for one, have a rolling wish list on my iPhone of everything I want right now constantly adding bits and bobs I spy and believe me it's getting pretty lengthy and growing at a faster rate than my MasterCard can handle! Top of my list is a new tote - I'm sick of having to lug my life around on my forearm (life is so tough), so a tote is the perfect solution...I can chuck it on my shoulder and spread the weight a bit more!!

Seeing as it's such a practical solution, it needs to be super duper pretty and luckily, there are oh so many to pick from!

3BM's top picks (albeit a little extravagant budget wise!) are...

Go grunge chic with the Valentino Rockstud Trapeze Tote, £1465...

Go print crazy with a Liberty London Tote, £295...

Go fabulous with the YSL Cabas Tote, £1735...

Go fierce with a Sophie Hulme Leopard Tote, £745...

Go tassel-tastic with a Zara Leather Tote, £69.99...

Go super cool with the Issey Miyake Prism Tote, £680...

Go chic with a Smythson Large Tote, £795...

Go classics with a Balenciaga Papier A4 Tote, £1,085...

BUT which one to choose...ibble obble black bobble...!!!

Bag, Borrow & Squeal: LuxTNT Luxury Bag Hire

Top of my favourite fashion fantasies? To wake up one morning with a Carrie Bradshaw-esque closet overflowing with designer accessories. What would I give to have at my fingertips a myriad of super-luxe finishing touches for every outfit imaginable?

A means business tote for the office. A frothy, macaroon-hued fascinator for my best friend’s wedding. A rhinestone-studded, impracticably tiny but impossibly chic, clutch for a black tie charity dinner. A roomy, leather holdall for impromptu weekends away. A pair of vintage double-c emblazoned earrings to add a shot of retro-glam to my daily uniform of jeans and a Breton tee. This season’s it-bag for cocktails with the girls. The perfect feather-trimmed fedora to pull down low over bad hair days…

The list goes on.
And on.
And on…

The slight flaw in the daydream? Well, my rabbit hutch-sized flat for starters. I’ve barely got room for the basics, let alone a full on treasure-trove of handbags, hats and jewels. Oh, and then there’s the normal person-sized salary to contend with, which is sadly more suited to H&M and Cotton On than Hermes and Chanel.

But, before we relegate that fantasy to the draw labeled fairytales and chocolate éclairs that make you skinny, perhaps it’s time I introduce you to our fashion fairy Godmother. Step up LuxTNT – the answer to all our perfect accessory prayers.

Luxury fashion accessories rental start-up, LuxTNT, gives each and every one of us access to the bags and baubles of our Bradshaw-shaped dreams for a fraction of the cost. Think of it as a sort of library for glam girls where instead of books, the shelves are stacked with accessories from Fendi, Judith Leiber, Lanvin and Alexander McQueen. The premise is simple, browse the catalogue of accessory amazingness, whittle it down to the one and then rent your designer dreamboat from as little as HK$30 per night. Suddenly boarding the plane for your next mini-break with a baby blue Globetrotter in tow is well within your reach. That Chanel lego clutch that retails well over your total monthly pay check? Yours for the night for less than the cost of a couple of dresses from Zara.  As fashion genius goes, LuxTNT has got to rank up there with the invention of high heels.

I decided that in the interests of all the accessories addicts of Hong Kong, I’d have to give the service a whirl and fill you in on all the details. Cut to a few hours later curled up on the sofa with a large glass of wine drooling over the sort of handbag candy I usually only see splashed across the pages of Vogue - AKA heaven. After drawing up a shortlist featuring a couple of hundred thousand dollars’ worth of Dolce & Gabbana, Chanel and Bottega Veneta, I eventually narrowed it down to a little piece of sartorial perfection – the Saint Laurent Classic Logo bag – retails at an eyewatering HK$14,650, mine for the weekend for HK$586. With a click of my mouse and flutter across the keyboard, that Saint Laurent baby was being whisked off the shelf and winging its way towards my front door. Now, that’s magic!

Two days later, on my scheduled delivery day, I woke up with a distinct Christmas morning feeling. A glimmer of excitement that only rocketed into full-on out and out glee when a courier came bounding up my stairs moments later with a sleek black box. I tore off the lid and shredded through the beautifully wrapped tissue package to find a glossy bundle of Saint Laurent gleaming back at me. Head over heels at first sight.

For the next 48 hours, we were barely parted for a moment. I flew around town flashing my new designer sidekick getting cooing comments from all directions. From a cocktail-fuelled DIY session at the A Pair & A Spare Studio with the Sassy Girls, to a cosy datenight at 121BC and even through to a sunglasses mandatory hangover brunch the following day, my Saint Laurent accompanied me giving every outfit some heavyweight fashion punch.

But, when Monday morning rolled around, I had more than the usual end of weekend blues to contend with, it was time to bid a doleful farewell to my newfound love.

Drying my tears as the courier tucked the parcel under his arm, I settled in front of my laptop to start the week’s work but moments later somehow found myself logged back into my LuxTNT account… Was I going to cheat on my Saint Laurent before he’d even left the building? Too right I was. When there’s Givenchy to be hired for the equivalent of the cost of my usual team coffee run, it’s practically criminal not to start off Monday with a little high-end handbag hit. Brushing away the last crumb of doubt, I clicked my mouse and fluttered across the keyboard muttering to myself, ‘what would Carrie do?’…

New Season Bags - Sophie's Choice

Autumn's well and truly set in now and we suddenly find ourselves with the uncontrollable urge to accessorise... Yesterday we brought you a whole lot of boot lust and today we're onto bags...

We can only imagine that it has something to do with the fact that this time of year used to mean back to school time. The going back to the classroom part was obviously rubbish, but there was one little upside - the bright shiny silver-lining of a new school term was a whole raft of new things...  There were the brand new pencil cases filled with brand new stationery; the brand new school shoes and of course, most importantly the brand new school bag.

I liked to think of my new bag as a declaration of who I was going to be that school year. Was I going a bit brit pop with a record bag? More old school with a satchel? Or maybe a bit of skater-girl courtesy of a Janssen rucksack?

So to bring that new year dilemma into 2013, we've fallen hard for two bag brands and we're having a very tough time making the call between which girl we're deciding to be this season. The designers are coincidentally both called Sophie but the looks are poles apart.

So, are we going to go sleek and sophisticated with a the stylishly simple Sophie Hulme...

Sophie Hulme
... or channel our Gypset side with a touch of Sophie Anderson's colour-popping, louche luxe?

Sophie Anderson

Completely impossible to choose, no?! So choose we won't... we're grown-ups (ahem!) with credit cards, we'll just take both...

Wanted: Home for an Hermès

Last week we received an email from the lovely ladies at Chic & Seek appealing for our help. Well YOUR help actually...

If you aren't already familiar with Chic & Seek, (where have you been hop on over immediately and check it out...) the site specialises in finding new homes for pre-loved fashion. From Louboutin heels to Jimmy Choo clutches with a little bit of fabulous Issa, Balmain and Alexander McQueen in between - this is a true treasure trove for finding designer gems at a snip of their original price.

Chic & Seek's latest project is a little different to usual though. The current orphaned item seeking a new home is a little slice of fashion history - a vintage Hermès Kelly bag.

A family heirloom dating back to somewhere between 1937 and 1953, the bag was recently valued by Hermès in Paris at £45,000. The current owner inherited the family collection of vintage fashion including the Kelly from her grandmother fifteen years ago. Understanding how special this iconic piece of fashion history is, the owner doesn't want to sell to a faceless bidder at auction but instead is keen to find a true fashion lover who will cherish the piece just as much as her grandmother did.

The Kelly was first produced by Hermès in the 1930s but it wasn't until 1956 that it earned the 'Kelly' moniker when Grace Kelly, the then Princess of Monaco, used her favourite Hermès bag to hide her pregnancy from the prying lenses of the paparazzi. The Kelly immediately became an icon and was toted by Hollywood's screen sirens including Ingrid Bergman and Marlene Dietrich. Today the timeless Hermès classic is still loved by celebrities and fashionistas alike - the perfect go-to accessory for dash of polish and elegance.

Although this beautiful bag is sadly well out of the Mice's budgets, we're sure there's someone out there who's going to be lucky enough to give this little treasure a new home. If you or anyone you know is that lucky person, contact the customer services team at Chic & Seek to arrange a viewing on +44 (0)20 7229 4308.

10% of the sale proceeds will be donated to Syria Relief charity (www.syriarelief.com/).

Totes Amazebags...

At this present time i'm in totes heaven ... get it?! God i'm good! I don't know whether i'm the only one but everywhere I go at the minute I seem to spy the most amazing bags - the shops are full to the brim, the weekly mags are laden with them and the tube is full of stylish Londoners rocking them fabulously. It's fair to say totes are totes HOT right now and everyone's vying for a piece of the action!

Handbags have always been the utlimate accessory for women. Why? Because it's the quickest and in my opinion the easiest way of making a statement. That's not to say I see bags as a status symbol, I couldn't care less how much a bag costs or what brand it is. To me it's all about the materials it's made from, the quality and how freaking cool it looks!

When it comes to your handbag this season, it's very much about down-scaling and opting for a more subtle tote style. This is something i'm going to struggle with as i'm a HUGE fan of oversized accessories - the bigger the better. Lets not go overboard though (i'm such a drama mouse), it's still on-trend to opt for spacious styles but just not bottomless pit styles!

Well without further ado, check out 3BadMice favs..

Feather fashion it hot right now and Angel Jackson has the goods to prove it with this all-over-feather jaw dropper. Loving the array and mix of a million beautiful colours and the contrast of the gun metal chain running across to top of the bag - winner!

Feather Tote: £499

Work the tangerine tastic trend this season with this statement tote from Michael Kors. Myself and mini mouse actually ventured into Selfridges at the weekend to check this citrus beauty out for ourselves and we can confirm that it's as show stopping in real life as it is online. We love the subtle detailing of the buckles and the embossed branding against the robust textured leather. Available in two sizes and in a range of popping colours, one for every day of the week - if only we could afford them all!

Large: £285
Medium: £220

Zara has jumped on the back of the hugely popular ombre trend and we're loving it. So apparently it's not just hair that takes to this dip dye trend well. This bag is a little corker and will ensure your outfit is instantly uber stylish and on-trend.

Graded Shopper: £99.99

Celebs and models who have the ombre bug too...

AND it's not only celebs who can rock this fashion forward look! Mini mouse does it with subtle style too...

And last but not least remortgage your flat for the Anya Hindmarch Huxley Tote - it costs to look fabulous darling! This navy python is to die for - the gold detailing complements this bag perfectly and comes complete with a detachable strap.

My work here is done!
