This Week The Mice Have Mostly Been....

A short week is always welcome in 3BM world...yes you end up running around like a mad thing to meet all your deadlines but what's new there...I'd much rather get the Friday feeling just a little bit sooner!

If you saw our bank holiday post earlier this week, you already know we had a pretty non-stop weekend, so a more chilled version is definitely required this time round. Whether that happens or not remains to be seen but our intentions are all good!!

When we haven't been recovering from killer hangovers and trying to get back into the swing of 6am wake ups, this week the Mice have mostly been...

Pouring over the preview piccies of the brand new Kate Moss for Topshop range. She's had a three year break and has been squirrelled away for nearly a year designing her new collection which is set to hit the high street on 30th April.

Now we all remember the previous ranges with the pansy tea dress and the lipstick red layered maxi dress that
everybody and anybody was dying to get their hands on...

However you'll be happy to hear that her latest creations have moved on a fair bit with lots of laidback, boho daytime looks and a whole host of cool glamour for the evening shift! Think fringing, aztec embroidery, sequins, stars, beading, tailoring...pretty much a list of everything we need to make our wardrobe FABULOUS!!

From the pictures we've seen there seems to be a lot more of the true Kate embedded in this range. In fact, we got more than a touch of de ja vu whilst flicking through the snaps of the collection - La Moss has clearly drawn inspiration from outfits hanging in her own closet. Have a peruse of a select few 3BM favs...

And to put it all into context... **WARNING** don't scroll down if you're MasterCard is already weeping...you WILL want everything....

In essence you can look as chic and effortlessly fashionable as Miss Moss at a fraction of the price...who could say no to that!?

Get 30th April in your diary and if the Topshop website crashes (we cannot have another Isabel Marant for H&M office drama!) head on over to Net-a-Porter where the collection will also be available to snap up!

Glued to the TV with our new box set obsession Scandal. I can openly admit I love a bit of TV trash as pure escapism at the end of a hard day or when stuck to the sofa in a hungover stupor. So we were pretty panic struck this Easter weekend when we realised we were fully up to date with Greys Anatomy, Nashville, Girls and Private Practice....what the hell to watch next!?!

We toyed with the favourites everyone is raving about...Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Games of Thrones...and in our hungover state, came up with various reasons why none of them would cut the mustard! After two hours of deliberating (and a Facebook pledge for help!) we agreed on Scandal!

In short a political thriller TV series loosely based on the life of George H.W. Bush's press aide Judy Smith (also the co-exc producer). The main character Olivia Pope is beautiful, ridiculously smart and empowering...when I grow up I want to be her!

The show centres around Olivia Pope's Crisis Management company with its quick-witted staff and of course the White House...not forgetting a huge side of illicit affairs, drama and plenty of secrets lurking under lock and key!

If you're not already hooked, get watching my friends...!

Tick tick ticking off the days until my next holiday! As you all know by now, the only thing that keeps us Mice happy is to have a getaway in the pipeline!

However, with a holiday comes skimpier outfits and of course baring our bod on the beach! That can only mean one thing...hello fitness fanatic! I have to admit I massively fell off the healthy bandwagon post-Barbados...so I need to approach this with a vengeance.

It all began over the weekend...a thirty minute run incorporating a further thirty minutes of sit-ups, lunges and squats. Let's just say that I was a pretty sorry sight for the next 3 days!!!! All that good work may have been slightly undone by the unlimited champagne brunch straight after my workout but, I like to think I made some serious headway towards my hot bod goal!!

So with my fitness hat on, these days I'm all about my five a day, minimal carbs and oodles of gym sessions. Whilst fully embracing my new mind set (and maybe during some bikini shopping) I stumbled across these fabulous Victoria's Secret sports bras...who says you can't stylishly sweat! You never know who you might bump into - I'd strongly advise getting a different one for everyday...

So that's us done for another week, it may not be four days long but here's to another fabulous weekend ahead...now go get those party pants on!

Moss Monday...

More Moss I hear you cry! YES fellow blog buds - this year is a milestone year for Miss M and after remembering some of her most iconic moments last week in our retrospective feature for her 40th birthday, we can't seem to get enough! I did say at the end of this article to stay turned for more ultra-glossy Mossy appreciation and that's exactly what you're going to get!

In line with our celebratory piece, we got sent a fabulous book paying homage to the international fashion queen herself - 'Kate Moss' by Chris Roberts. The book is an illustrated biography that looks back at Kate's life, loves and achievements.

A fascinating read and a stunning photographic memoir that will be sure to add an extra dash of pizazz and style to my ever-growing collection of coffee table books...

Kate Moss by Chris Roberts, Carlton, £16.99.
Available to buy online at www.carltonbooks.co.uk and in all good book stores.

Celebrating An Icon : Happy Birthday Mossy...

From Croydon to the cover of British Vogue, the phenomenon that is Kate Moss has officially been in existence for 40 years today. Many a designer, major fashion photographer and magazine has fallen under her spell over the years and us Mice are no exception.

In true 3BM celebratory style we have gathered together our favourite Kate moments to share with you all. From her 33 Vogue front covers to her penchant for statement shoes - remember her Vivienne Westwood pirate boots, Minnetonka lace-up boots and gladiator sandals phase?! Then there's her string of oh-so-high profile relationships with the likes of Johnny Depp, Jefferson Hack, Pete Doherty and the love of her life Jamie Hince. She certainly has done a hell of a lot of living during her 40 years on earth.

It all started 26 years ago at JFK airport when Kate was a mere 14 years old. Sarah Doukas of model Agency, Storm famously scouted Kate all those years ago and has played an instrumental part in her career ever since. Her first flashbulb cover moment was for The Face when she was just 16...

Kate was known as the anti-supermodel of the 1990s - her petite proportions in comparison to the supers of the moment - Naomi, Linda, Cindy, Elle, Claudia & Co - caused quite a stir...

Mossy's British Vogue debut came when she was 19 years old - shot by Corinne Day, the cover shoot was met with mixed emotions due to Kate's scruffy bun and distinctly un-Vogue appearance...

But the world really realised Kate's influence when it came to her wearing THOSE Vivienne Westwood Pirate boots in 1990 - BAM, overnight they become one of the most highly sought after fashion classics...

Magazine covers aside Kate took to the social side of fame like a duck to water rocking some eye-popping outfits and creating headlines! One that got her noticed in her early years was that sheer silver scrap of a number worn at an Elite Models party with Naomi Campbell - well if you've got it...

In 2001 Mario Testino famously handed Kate a box of paints in his West London studio and asked her to colour her face without using a mirror - the below picture went on to become the lead picture in his 2002 National Portrait Gallery exhibition...

Another iconic moment to bow down to has to be when Kate played David Bowie in 2003 for yet ANOTHER Vogue cover...

2005 was all about the Moss and Doherty duo - they meet at Kate's 31st birthday and had an on-off very public relationship until 2007...

Not forgetting Kate's business relationship with Topshop mogul Sir.Philip Green and the almighty attention her Oxford Circus window appearance was met with when she launched her first collection for the brand in 2007...

In 2011 Kate tied the knot in a Galliano gown. An understated look with a not so understated 16 bridesmaids...!

Posing in a bronze glitter bodysuit, Kate appeared on the front cover of POP magazine at the end of last year to mark her collaboration with artist, Allen Jones - still got it...

Donning bunny ears and a powder puff tail Moss most recently made her Playboy debut for the title's 60th anniversary issue...

Wow what a journey and that's only a teeny speck of what this iconic figure in fashion has been up to over the years. Stayed tuned for more ultra-glossy Mossy appreciation next week - that's all I'm going to say for now...
