3BM in Blogosphere Magazine!

We have exciting news!

...drum roll please...

This month we feature in the latest glossy issue of Blogosphere Magazine!

If you haven't heard of Blogosphere yet we'll forgive you, it is still brand, spanking new, but we suggest you go out and buy your copy pronto...

Quite apart from the fact that we feature in this issue (not sure if we've mentioned that yet...), it's also a really, really great read. Each issue, an editorial team of bloggers curates a selection of blogs across a vareity of categories (think fashion, food, lifestyle, beauty and more), and each of those bloggers writes a piece for the magazine. The end result is a menagerie of articles on a myriad of topics from reviews of the latest restaurants on the block, to nail art tutorials with recipes for whipping up a cracking chicken curry and beautiful photography in between. The idea is that Blogosphere will introduce you to new blogs that you might just love (like us!) while also providing inspiration and advice to other bloggers (there are sections in the magazine that cover all sorts of blogger burning issues from legal issues you may come across to the eternal quandry of what you should do if you're comped a bad meal...).

Still need a reason to go and buy your copy? Well, 10% of all profits go to charity (Walking with the Wounded this issue). A rollicking read and philanthropy - how can you say no?!

The third issue is out this week and we're one of five blogs to feature in the lifestyle section. We're not going to say too much about our piece because you'll have to buy the magazine to read it, but we will say it's ABSOLUTELY brilliant and will change your life (obviously).

We've also discovered some ace new blogs off the back of this issue so we thought we'd share a bit of the love and introduce you to them too...

Fleur de Force
That's Fleur on the cover of Blogosphere, and we can't quite believe that we're only just discovering her! Fleur is a fashion and beauty blogger/vlogger (that's video blogger non-bloggy peeps) extraordianire, who reviews all manner of products, posts videos of how-tos and generally gives us a peek into her glam world. Fleur's Blogosphere interview is a must-read for any wannabe beauty bloggers.

Scarlett Wonderland
This brilliant lifestyle blog feels a bit like you're having a chat with your fabbest, funniest friend. From travel pieces that'll have you itching to pack your suitcase and zip off on a little adventure to a completely on the button set of Gym Rules, this is one of those blogs that you log onto over your sandwich at lunch and several hours later find that you're still reading...

BeautySauce
BeautySauce is a beauty blog written by make-up artist and beauty therapist Carly Musleh. Carly covers everything from wellness (loving the look of this health in a jar breakfast) to skincare along with vast amounts of lovely beauty booty! Oh and ps. Carly's YouTube beauty tutorials are awesome!

The London Review of Sandwiches
How can you not love a blog entirely dedicated to stellar examples of stuff between two pieces of bread?! We fully intend to use Helen Graves' reviews as a carb-fix itinerary for munching our way around London. And we may just have to start that Sandwich Stroll with Dip & Flip's Patty Melt...

3BM Style Crush: Blair Eadie

It's Thursday! The weekend's just a whisker away and what better way to celebrate than swooning over  the incredible style of fashion blogger, Blair Eadie. Blair's blog, Atlantic Pacific is right at the top of our morning blog roll. We're completely obsessed with the way that she mixes lots of high street (Zara, ASOS and even Dorothy Perkins recently) with quirky labels, vintage finds and a sprinkling of high end pieces.

Fresh and girly with megawatt polish, Blair does insouciant layering with aplomb and rocks a killer arm party most days.

Check out some of our top Atlantic Pacific looks below and we defy you not to develop just a little bit of a style crush too...

Pitching Paris Against New York: Vive la Différence

The Mice are currently researching a little New Year's sisters' trip to Paris. Queue chains of emails flying between London and Hong Kong with links to hotel websites, lots of squawking about macaroons and shopping at Colette and general over-excitement!

Somewhere between pinning photographs of the Eiffel Tower and trying to work out the best online store for buying Breton tops, we came across a little article on the Guardian website which momentarily stopped our Parisian daydreams and introduced us to an amazing new blog and its very-talented creator...

Paris versus New York - A Tally of Two Cities is a blog which wittily compares the French capital with the Big Apple via beautiful, bright graphic illustrations. During an extended stay in New York back in 2010, French graphic artist, Vahram Muratyan, got to thinking about elements of the two cities which could be brought together in one image to illustrate the contrasting cultures of Paris and New York. The results are funny, charming and just the sort of thing we'd love on the walls of Mouse Towers.

Luckily prints and canvases of each illustration are available via the blog's shop starting from a ridiculously affordable US$35. The blog has also spawned a book, a weekly column in M by Le Monde, La Ville est Belle and a special collaboration with Prada.

We'll leave you with some of our favourite illustrations from the project and get back to re-watching the final series of Sex and the City while dreaming of baguettes and brie...

This Week The Mice Have Mostly Been...

Woohoo! It's Friday!

Hello weekend!

And in Hong Kong, it's Hello LONG weekend because Monday's a bank holiday!  Double whoop! Having said that Tropical Storm Dokisuri is heading straight for us... so the beach is a no go, BBQs are going to be a bit of a wash out and junking is going to be grim/pretty dangerous. I predict a long weekend of vodka fuelled evenings and hungover DVD days. I guess it could be worse...

But before the weekend fun kicks off, here's the 3BM round-up of what we've been up to, this week the Mice have mostly been...

Eyeing up the Winter Kate fall collection look book: laser cut leather, lots of sixties prints and an eye-popping colour palette of jade, turquoise, buttercup and fire-engine red plus a particularly lust-worthy fur coat... its almost enough to have us wishing away the summer so that we can get snuggly in these gorgeous pieces from our fav boho luxe label.  Almost, but not quite, we haven't had nearly enough sun yet... In the meantime though, how about a cut-price Winter Kate fix? The ASOS summer sale has an amazing selection of Winter Kate up to 50% off, ready, steady, SHOP!

Taking wedding stalking to the next level. Our favourite summer Monday morning time waster is logging onto Facebook for a bit of wedding stalking. At this time of year you're guaranteed plenty of fresh material each week and what better way to stave off getting started on the week's to do list than checking out the photos of that girl you went to primary school with recreating the lift from Dirty Dancing during her first dance... This week though, as well as trawling through the usual glut of Facebook photos we've also been swooning over the stunning wedding snaps from the weddings of two of our biggest fashion crushes, edgy jewellery designer, Pamela Love and princess of zig zags, Margherita Missoni.

Not a bad bridesmaid dress, a profiterole or a Dirty Dancing lift in sight, both weddings were, as you'd expect, ridiculously stylish.  Love wore bespoke Mara Hoffman, a crown of wild flowers and YSL shoes.  Missoni wore a self-designed gown made by Giambattista Valli. If you haven't seen them yet, here are a couple of shots of both weddings - a little light Friday wedding stalking for you...

Doing overtime in the gym after being particularly bad last weekend and making the gazillon calorie but super delicious Slutty Brownies (brought to you courtesy of the lovely Rosie of The Londoner). So called because they're very easy and incredibly naughty, these brownies really are to die for. With a layer of brownie sitting above a layer of Oreos which in turn sits above a layer of cookie dough, we feel pretty guilty introducing you to the recipe but it's genuinely too good to keep to ourselves... See you on the treadmill next week!
