Beautiful Bing...

No we're not talking bling ... today it's all about Bing ... Aninie Bing to be exact.

If you've never heard this name before, wake up and smell the coffee! It's a brand you NEED to know.

First up, some fast facts. LA based rock-bohemian label, launched back in 2012 by Danish designer, Anine Irmelin Bing. I first heard about Aninie Bing through the very knowledgable Mini Mouse. She'd noted the brand down on her New York to-do list of dreams and when we visited the Big Apple a few weeks ago we toddled off to Bleecker Street to check out what all the fuss was about...

Firstly, Bleecker Street is one of my absolute favourite streets in the whole of NYC - Carrie from SATC lived just up the road remember?! It's packed full of sweet, unusual boutiques ready to surprise, delight and break the bank balance! We stumbled upon Aninie Bing shortly after a delightful lunch at Little Owl around the corner and I for one was in the mood to spend!

The shop interior is clean, white and spacious. I love nothing more than chunky wooden hangers lined up on a rail with ample room in between each clothing item... Well maybe there are some things I love more but in the world of shopping this does do it for me, big time! It means I can peruse at ease without feeling overwhelmed by row upon row of options.

The shop was mostly made up of black, white, grey and denim. Simple. Wearable. Just gorgeous.

I was on the look out for good quality basics and ended up going for a black and a white V tee. A few things to note - the fit is sublime, the shapes flow like magic and don't even get me started on the fabrics.

I was hooked from that moment on. Aninie also stocks killer skinny leather trousers and leggings that I fell in love with but I couldn't quite bring myself to part with hundreds of dollars for - next time maybe...

I also snapped up a black delicate lace bralette to wear under both tees - they're quite low you see, so a pretty lace something to peek through from beneath the deep V is just perfect.

As I was walking away feeling smug with my purchases, a flash of gold caught my eye and pulled me back inside. Yes, the brand also sells beautiful jewellery. During our trip in NYC, I'd been on the look out for a statement earring to wear alongside a plain stud and Aninie had just the thing ... a dangling gold starlet that I just had to have... #absolutelynowillpower

Long may the Bing empire continue.
