A Wiener That's Worth It...

If wieners get you going, then Hampstead's hot dog joint Dach & Sons should be on your restaurant hit list! From the folk behind the popular Purl and Whistling Shop this gourmet spot has everything needed to ensure you walk away feeling satisfied in every sense ... good grub, eye catching decor and a location slap bang next to Hampstead tube.

The Mice opted for the delectable short rib burger with naughty Gruyere cheese and the sliders made of up 3 mini burgers ... one with bacon jam, another with smoked flexi-Cheddar and the final with salt beef chili and sour cream. The sliders definitely won the meat race! Top tip - make sure to order a portion of the sweet potato wedges that come with the most incred tarragon mayo!

The only downside for us would be the lack of cocktail option with only one on the menu which if we're being quite frank was rank! The sole cocktail is the D&S Julep which is Woodford Reserve infused with sugar, bitters and mint for 48 hours. It came highly recommended by our waitress but was very disappointing. However out of goodwill and after much discussion (!) they were taken off our bill, so no harm done.

Shhhhhhhhhh and keep this to yourself BUT we heard on the down low that there is a fabbo Speakeasy upstairs. Unfortunately we were refused entry because we didn't have a booking, boo hiss. We did feel like saying 'do you know who we are? Squeak squeak' but we decided against that and shuffled out with our tails between our legs...

A word of warning, control the urge to overindulge because mark our words meat sweats aren't pretty!
