This Week The Mice Have Mostly Been...

....BACK TOGETHER!

HK Mouse swooped into London last Friday for back-to-back weddings and work with a little bit of sister fun squeezed in between. Full deatils of what we got up to next week, but in the meantime, here's a sneak peek at what we've been doing when we haven't been squealing over sister reunions!

This week the Mice have mostly been...

Fluttering my newly refreshed set of lash extensions which without a doubt are my favourite so far! I blogged last year about my questionable experiences and how Boudoir Lashes totally changed my view on the treatment. Since then I've tried out Christie who came highly recommended by my impeccably preened friend Vanessa! No exaggeration, you will become totally hooked and like me, never want your own lashes back again!!

Christie's a self confessed perfectionist who runs her business from her home in Oakleigh Park, just a 15 minute train journey from Kings Cross. My first full set of lashes were £65, a total bargain, which were still in tact when I went back four weeks later. Refills cost £35 and unlike at other salons, your appointment isn't a rush job which means that once you've been relashed the result is as good as new.

Fine lashes are used to create a natural yet full effect wihtout breaking your natural ones and Christie only uses the best glue from America which explains why they last for so long. I was reticent to write this post and give away my top contact, but its only fair to share, so here goes, the golden number is 07868696930. ENJOY and let the addiction begin!

Still reeling from last Friday's Wireless experience and how close we got to the Trouser Snake! Our good friend Ellie invited us along and with a Friday headline of Justin Timberlake there was no stopping us!

The festival had moved this year from Hyde Park to the Olympic park which gave it a very different vibe, far less festival and leaning more towards a stadium, however a definite improvement to last years mud bath fiasco!

We were lucky enough to bag some guest passes so spent the first hour chilling out in the Cirque Du Soleil section where we demolished a burger and a few Pimms whilst watching Paul Danon soak up any teeny tiny bit of attention he could draw for his Hollyoaks and Love Island fame!!!

Once work stress had been totally forgotten, we made our way to meet Ellie who took us behind the scenes and showed us around! Suitably content with our tour we skipped back out to the front as the intro notes of Señorita blared out, only to be beckoned into the pap pit! No words can describe, we were literally a few metres from Justin whilst he performed...who needs a surprise performance from Rihanna?!?
Jealously aside the remainder of the weekends line up sounded pretty impressive especially the jay Z , Timberlake and Rihanna finale on Sunday! Next up...Lovebox!

Squeaking with excitement that holiday time is very nearly here, although as this beautiful weather looks like it's going nowhere we have found you all a London holiday hang out for yourselves!

Camden beach is officially back this summer, so why not skip the jam-packed beaches at Brighton and head to The Roundhouse instead! Their terrace has been transformed by 150 tonnes of sand, deck chairs, beach beds, end of pier amusements, ping pong, ice cream, a Tiki beach bar and a BBQ and fish bar! What more could you want from North London?

It's free entry and kicks off from 27th July until 24th August, and from Monday to Friday it's happy hour between 5pm and 7pm with buy one get one free cocktails!

Aaaaaand that's it for another week! Looks like it's going to be another scorcher in London and we plan to spend the weekend making the very most of it...

See you on the other side...

Festival Fever...

I always look forward to Summer time in the UK ... I'm guessing you're all thinking why you crazy mouse?! Well it obviously isn't the amazing weather (last year our summer weather lasted for one weekend in April), the disgustingly humid tubes or laid back pace of life; It is of course the Festivals!

I know we're all sad about the lack of Glastonbury this year...but we do need portoloos for the olympics so all shall be forgiven, plus now you have some time and cash freed up to try some newbies! We have a pretty good festival scene, pulling in artists from all over the world, everyone gets together puts their egos aside and jumps around like they are children AND actually smile at one another...a rarity in London! Most years if we're lucky, we get semi sunny weather thrown in, but if not everyone is so used to our bipolar climate that they brave it anyway, we simply LOVE festival fever!

Living just down from Victoria Park, Lovebox is a definite, however it isn't just the proximity from my flat that makes me go, it is actually one of my favourites! The people watching is immense and the line-up is always impressive! I clearly remember in 2009 when Grove Armada headlined it was 9pm on a Sunday night, in the warm summer air and 'At The River' was drifiting out to a chilled crowd and then ramped up to 'Superstylin' and everyone went insane! It was so much fun; there and then I fell in love with Lovebox!! Peruse this years line-up and get your tickets quick...

Right line ups done, festivals picked, now for the biggest MOST important element...Festival Fashion!

You can sit there and say, I go for the music I don't care what I wear, but that is SO not true (and if it is true then it's SO not right!) All part of the fun is putting together your best festival wardrobe and looking festi-hot!

Coachella, dear to all celeb hearts and ours alike, is a great place to spy the festival trends for the year! As it always takes place just before our festival season kicks off, it's great for some inspiration! This year shorts scored very high in the fashion stakes ... denim, patterned, ripped, high waisted, hotpants - they were plastered upon every fashionista! Fringing was still huge - adding a cute boho edge, suede cowboy boots adorned the feet of many, maxi dresses, ombre and cropped tops ... the list goes on, take a little peak of our favs below:

I know how hard it is to find time to scour shops, websites and magazines to find the right look or accessories to make an outfit for such an occassion work! So, I thought why not take the pain away and do it for you ... see my top festival picks that you can snap up right now and be disco done for Lovebox on 15th June, the first of many....
