SS14 Trend: Gypset

We've saved our favourite SS14 trend for last. Step up luxed-up boho - one part folk, a dash of tribal with a hefty gold-plated side of jet set sheen. 

This season who doesn't want to be the glossy, bronzed girls who stalked down the Valentino catwalk in Milan in a swoosh of fringed leather and a jangle of chunky astrological jewellery? 



We want to copy everything about the Valentino look from the tops of the models' braid-crowned heads right down to the tips of their astro-sandalled toes. 

A myriad of sun-soaked Coachella snaps of long-limbed Californian girls decked out in boho-luxe loveliness has only made us even more intent on making this year the summer of gypset. The only issue? So we're off to New York in a couple of weeks time and if you hadn't got the memo yet, we're a liiiiitle bit excited! Ever since Christmas we've been madly making lists of places to eat, drink and shop, cruising NYC blogs and watching Sex & The City re-runs day and night… Things are getting to a fever pitch level! 

The only slight niggle? Accessories Update With Zalora

The magazine stands are stuffed with weighty September Issues, Fashion Month is fast approaching and we're gleefully eyeing up all the gorgeous autumn pieces that have just dropped at all our high street favs. We're still hoping for at least a glimmer more of summer but in the meantime its vital to get our winter wardrobes stocked before all the best pieces sell out (or at least that's how we're justifying the large dent in this month's pay cheque...).

Don't get me wrong these cases are still going to leave a bit of a dent in your bank balance. I winced at paying US$98 for an iPhone case when I bagged mine last month, but I pretty much spend 90% of my waking hours holding my phone, and if I have to look at it constantly, it may as well be well-dressed...
