Our 3BM Easter Weekend in Pictures...

Hands up who had a fabulous long Easter weekend...

For the vast majority of you I bet it mostly consisted of far too much chocolate, a fair helping of booze, family get togethers and a big dose of R&R. Sound about right?

Not for the Mice. The booze part we can relate to in a big way but apart from that, no similarities whatsoever!!

HK mouse decided to jump ship and escape to Lombok for some much needed sun, sea and quality time with her boyfriend. Not your usual Easter view that's for sure...

Myself and Mini on the other hand decided some serious fun needed to be had and made it our mission to fit in as much as humanly possible. Even when we were having some down time, our bucket-esque wine glasses were firming in grip...

It all started on the Thursday night with the gorgeous Nikki's birthday night. Club of choice - The Box. Which means two thing... rudeness and a long night ahead. The club performances and acts don't actually start until 1am so we decided to have a pre-party at ours. Cue the cocktails - homemade rhubarb and processco glasses of deliciousness...

And mini bites of loveliness to line our stomachs, all homemade of course...

We chatted, gossiped and laughed for hours whilst slowly getting glammed up for the night ahead - secretly my favourite part of an evening. Shhhhhh...

At 11 o'clock our carriages pulled up and we stumpled in - tipsy to say the least! Sadly from here on in I have very little in-club evidence to prove just how tricking fabulous this place is - there is a no camera rule which = BORING! I did manage the following snaps in between the extreme acts of nakedness and naughtiness...

A 4am bedtime called for a next morning food-fest with our favourite girls which if I might add are looking surprisingly fresh-faced and lovely...

We rocked up at recently blogged about Rita's ready to fill our hungover-boots to high heaven... and that we did!

Ham hock hash & egg delight...

Washed down with homemade pink lemonade...

And the earth shattering dulce de leche beignets with foie gras from puds AKA tasty doughnuts with caramel and a touch of salt! Bliss. Heaven. Pure indulgence...

After that there was no other option but to head home, collapse on the sofa and commit to an afternoon of duvet hogging, comforting food and snooze after snooze after snooze.

The hours flew by and before we knew it, the evening had rolled in and the 7 o'clock wine itch has set in. Luckily we had an icy chilled bottle of Marlborough Sauvignon to hand so cracked that opened and kicked back for a night of R&R...

A sunny Saturday arrived and the healthy part of my brained kicked in - a morning run around Victoria Park... so off we jogged - in our sunnies...

Exercise done. What's next? An afternoon of pizza and unlimited prosecco. Perfect! Bunga Bunga step up...

Too much! Why not top up with a bit of taxi cab smuggling and espresso martini drinking...

Sunday I have nothing to show for our day. It pretty much consisted for laziness, indecisiveness and unhealthy choices!

Monday arrived and we decided to pay our good friends Kitty and Kev a visit for an afternoon of good food, giggles and yes, more alcohol...!

Cracking alternative Easter even if I do say so myself!

This Week The Mice Have Mostly Been...

Wahhhhhh it's Easter and that means...

Pens down...

Champagne a plenty...

Plenty of zzzzz lay ins...

And choc galore...

It really couldn't get much better in my mind! Crazy busy work weeks and seriously lacking social calendars have at least been leading us to this one sweet saviour... 4 whole days off - yippee!

I won't spoil next week's blog posts by divulging what we have planned to let off steam but what I can say is I haven't been this excited in a long time about ANYTHING! Come back next week to see why...

So enough of my babble. This Week The Mice Have Mostly Been...

Green with envy at seeing the fashion fun and frolics had at Coachella. I know Coachella should be all about the music but in reality the fashion stakes are way higher! Next year is THE year us Mice need to bite the bullet and head off to join the beautiful people in Cali - why should they have all the fun?! This year, like every year, we made the same mistake of taking to Grazia and Harper's oh-so-regularly to check the Coachella clothes contest rating the best dressed whilst silently crying into our keyboards and hugging our cups of comforting tea! You know when you know you absolutely shouldn't look at something but you can't help yourself? Well yes, Coachella has that effect on us! So who came out top in our mousey opinion...

Fashion model, Jourdan Dunn in her matchy matchy Topshop combo...

Chanel Iman AKA Victoria Secret's goddess with her pastel-streaked hair, loose knit vest dress and achingly cool headscarf...

Double-header award goes to contrasting pair Sienna Miller and Poppy Delevingne...

Going all girly over BYREDO's new 'Flowerhead' fragrance launch. A seriously beautiful scent coupled with crisp and luxurious packaging called for a flower-tastic shoot...

For Spring, and interestingly inspired by the traditional Indian wedding ceremony of which flowers play a central role in the union of families and the wedded couple. With that momentous occasion in mind, the BYREDO Flowerhead fragrance was born... boasting wild jasmine sambac at the heart - fresh, floral and fabulous! Paired with subtle tuberose and rose petals whilst merged with notes of Sicilian lemon, spiced angelic seeds and fruity lingonberry, this perfume is a real treat. Both sweet and sharp, light yet rich in complexity. My new daily obsession. Full stop. Every girl should have.

I have the 50ml (£88) which is the perfect handbag companion in spirit and in size!

Springing into life at the first look at NK1 Secrets new shellac colours!

You'll remember a few weeks back we talked about our at home shellac kit which we're now redonkulously obsessed with well... just as we were growing tired of the selection of colours we originally had to choose from (spoilt mice) we were only treated to the brand spanking new Spring / Summer range! In seconds we were fighting over who would paint what colour first! Mini Mouse ended up opting for Peppermint and I decided on Sindy...

Lemon sorbet and Barley Sugar are patiently in-line waiting their shellac turn!

Coachella style, perfume and nails aside, us Mice wish you all a very happy Easter and a super extended weekend of wonderfulness...

Much love

This Week The Mice Have Mostly Been...

How is it Friday again already? Don't get us wrong, we're not complaining, but this week has just zoomed by in a blur of work, work and more work!

But, let's not dwell on all things grey and officey, because in brilliant news, winter has finally drawn to a close and we can officially shout...

The London Mice kicked off the new season with a pop last Sunday by starting the day with Champagne and pedis in their pyjamas...

When we haven't been getting boozy in our PJs, this week the Mice have mostly been...

Getting our Chef Thinking Hats on and dreaming up some scrummy Easter recipes. Last year we baked up a storm with our MaltEaster Bunny Cupcakes which were gobbled up by a band of willing tasters (AKA our colleagues) quicker than you can say "crumbs"...

This year we're thinking something delicious which includes everyone's favourite Easter treat, Cadbury's Creme Eggs. We plan to spend the next couple of weeks perfecting our bakes and have been pinning like crazy in search of sweet-treat-inspiration. Watch this space for what we come up with...!

Powdering our noses at a pop-up experience with a difference! Let me set the scene - what girl in their right mind would say no to a night of make-up, Champagne and beauty top tips? Not us, that's for sure...

So we did as the invite instructed and took ourselves off to the The Attendant...

For those of you who haven't heard of this alternative spot, shame on you! It's wonderfully random but a hidden gem through and through - a nineteenth century gents toilet that has been cleaned, buffed and transformed into a cosy coffee bar and check this out... the original urinals are still alive and kicking and form part of the seating for customers!

Toilet talk aside, what did the night have in store for us? Well the occasion was in celebration of the DVD release, Powder Room (out now) starring Kate Nash, Sheridan Smith and Jaime Winstone. The on-set make up artist to the cast, Claire Carter, was on hand to treat guests to an exclusive demo on how to touch up your make-up to perfection on a night out - the theme of the film. Something I definitely needed a lesson in - goodbye panda eyes, hello fresh-faced fancy!

We thought it was only fair to share her words of wisdom with you lovely lot...

First up, top touch-up products to invest in:

  • Urban Decay Complexion Primer - apply to skin and then layer foundation to achieve a silky smooth, long-lasting and pore-free look.
  • MAC Studio Fix Powder plus foundation - a velvety powder and foundation in one that will guarantee good coverage for the night ahead.
  • NARS Multi-stick - snap up this all-purpose shimmer highlighter that you ca use to add a dash of glimmer to your eyes, brows, lips, cheeks and frankly, anywhere else on your body that you want eyes to linger...

Second up and most importantly, how do we overcome those common out-and-about no no's that leave us looking dragged through a hedge backwards...

Going overboard on the bronzer - let's admit it girls we all do it! We leave the house feeling suitably glowing, but as soon as we enter those artificial strip-lit loos, the colour drains from our fabulous faces! It's of course not in the least bit representative of what we actually look like, but we still reach for that bronzer brush and apply layer upon layer until we look like Charlie's Oompa Loompa friends! The top tip to solve this dilemma is simple - STOP... you don't need it, step back from the mirror and put the brush down!

Panda eyes R us - when it comes to a night out, we've got to admit we regularly suffer from serious panda eye syndrome! We spend ages carefully applying eyeliner under our bottom lashes to create that smoky sultry look, but as soon as we start drinking, that desired effect very quickly turns sour. BUT not with Claire's nifty tips... 1. Apply black eyeliner as normal but layer with black eyeshadow which will intensify the colour, set it and keep it in place all night long 2. Mist your make-up with Urban Decay's All Nighter setting spray to ensure it's fixed super glue style... Clever stuff huh?!

Unkissable scaly lips - there's nothing worst than talking to someone with a dry lipstick-patchwork pout! There really is no excuse when it's so easy to resolve... 1. Take a damp toothbrush and gently scrub up and down to exfoliate 2. Moisturise lips using Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream a good few hours before, allowing plenty of time for it to sink in and VoilĂ  - kissably gorgeous lips good to go!

And on that note, we think it's high time we started prepping for some Friday night fun! All that's left to be said is...

Hope it's an awesome one!
