Picture Perfect Paris...

You may recall at the end of last year, myself, mini Mouse and three of our best girlies hopped onto the Eurostar and escaped to Paris for a long and much needed girly weekend. Amongst the madness of Christmas I hadn't got round to sharing our adventures with you so, here I am correcting this naughtiness! New Year = a better, more studious me!

So first up - our Paris pad! For those of you who know us Robbos, you'll be well aware of our LOVE and obsession for thorough research and pre-holiday scoping... so we set out genning up on pretty much every rentable apartment in the lust-worthy La Marais area. After days of scouring the web we hit the jackpot with La Table via Parisautrement.com. This quaint apartment fitted our criteria perfectly - three bedrooms sleeping six, each with their own en suites, interior to die for, a rate that wouldn't break the bank, a fridge to house our many bottles of Champagne and wine and a hop, skip and a jump from the hustle and bustle of La Marais! SOLD! Quicker than you can say "ooh la la" we'd reserved our dates and started dreaming of macaroons and chilly Parisian park walks.

We all took the Friday off work and spent our Thursday night pulling together our most fabulous weekend attire! Friday morning rolled around, we leapt out of bed and clip clopped our sleepy-selves to St Pancras. A quick trip to stock up on breakfast goodies (including Champagne of course!) and we boarded the Eurostar and chugged away from the platform before gathering speed and hurtling towards Paris! A few alcohol-fuelled, chatter-filled hours passed and we were pulling into Paris Gare du Nord. Oh...

In the interest of not wasting any precious time we flagged down a taxi and attempted to tell the driver where we wanted to go... After wearing out everyone's very best GCSE French we resorted to a bit of sign language and pointing at Guide Books. After a little eye-brow raising our taxi set off and in a Parisian second we'd arrived! Battered green double doors welcomed us - first impression - tick! So far, so good...

With much anticipation we pushed open the door and waited with bated breath to see what awaited us on the other side...

Picturesque perfection some may say! We wound our way down and around to be met with a sweet little courtyard housing our abode for the weekend - not too shabby...

We were met by a representative from Parisautrement.com who showed us in and walked us around the apartment, giving us the history of the place and the surrounding area as he went. Top notch service! So, the verdict on the apartment? Well why don't I give you the guided tour and let you decide?!

If I were to sum up our home for the weekend in three words, I would say - chic, spacious and charming - I'd go back in a flash...!

If you're planning a group trip to Paris, I can't recommend this place enough. It's a real treat, offering the perfect ingredients for an indulgent weekend away.

Stay tuned for more on our Parisian adventures and our personal top spots that all deserve a visit!

And for now I'll just say...
