My Style: Middle Mouse

What does one wear to Lords when one is faced with a dress code do's and don't list from hell??? Eek! Well rules are meant to be broken so I largely stuck to the strict cricket rules but added my own twist hoping no one would notice. I'm happy to report all turned out A-OK!

So here's a run down of my Lords assemble...

Pencil skirt
So I opted for the newly promoted tight fitted pencil skirt. For many seasons now it's all been about floaty maxi styles, girly lines that make you want to twirl in circles. The likes of Marc Jacobs and Jonathan Saunders have bought the pencil skirt up to date with eye-catching prints and bold colours. I've actually had this River Island pencil for a few months now but i'm happy to report it's still in-store. It's the perfect combo of comfy and cool so snap it up now.

Top
From the good old trusty Topshop Boutique range. I always head to this section in Toppers when i'm looking for smart/chic staples. They do everything for cashmere vests to silk cami dresses in an array of colours to suit every look. Made from silk and big enough to house mini and biggy mouse! Perfect loose and billowing or for a more fitted look, cinch in at the waist with a vinatge belt.

Shoulder bag
One of my mum's vintage finds back in the day. This little beauty is actually from Spain. I love the studded detail and the combination of leather and suede on the front section. It goes with pretty much everything and is just the right size for a trip to the cricket!

Necklace
A statement piece from Reiss. I love chunky Mawi type necklaces that transform an outfit and I feel this piece does just that. It instantly gives any look a modern lift even if it does give me neck ache!

Wedges
These Deena & Ozzy peep toe wedges from Urban Outfitters I can confidently say are pain-free shoes sent from heaven! They really are so so comfy and go with pretty much everything which is always a bonus, remember cost per wear! Love the basket weave wedge and the silver buckle detail.

Shades
You can't go wrong with Ray-Ban in my opinion, I have a few pairs but these ones are my fav. The majority of Londoners own a pair of the aviator style it has to be said but these rounded wayfarer ones are a little more vintage inspired. Perfect for summer outings - come back sun!!!
