It's got to be said my favourite part of the weekend is most definitely Friday evening … the whole weekend to come and two amazingly wonderful sleep-ins ahead! My Friday's are either spent drinking till late with friends or snuggled up all comfy on the sofa with a large glass of delicious Marlborough wine.
Last night I opted for a Shoreditch night out with mini mouse and our bestie Nikki - if you've been following us on Twitter you will have seen a picture of the affair last night … sore heads today all round!
We graced at least 6 bars with out presence last night but my favs have got to be…
The Reliance is a cosy bar/pub with a great after work atmosphere. Great music, cool people and lovely bar staff (they also have Henricks - bonus!). Close to all the action - just around the corner from Hoxton Square so only a step, a jump and a somersault away from the next haunt!
The Folly is a great place for Friday fun! Bank/Monument way on Gracechurch Street. Always guaranteed a good night - vast selection of Gins (always very important), great picky food plus the place is full of hot men - win win! You can book tables for 10 people+ but personally I think you're better off perched by the bar soaking up the Friday feeling!
Great Eastern Dining Room is perfect if yummy cocktails float your boat. They serve up some of the best alcoholic concoctions in the East end - the rose petal martini withTanqueray gin & rose syrup shaken with lychee & apple juices is particularly special! The food is pretty tasty too - the chilli salt squid scores top points in my opinion!
The Book Club is a very cool bar in the heart of Hoxton on Leonard Street just off Great Eastern Street (only about a 2 minute walk from Great Eastern Dining Room actually). Bizarrely brilliant interior - the downstairs area's ceiling is covered in hundreds of tiny light bulbs! Fancy working off your 'Shoreditch Twat' cocktail? No problem as there is a ping pong table within the quirky bar too! All good fun!
After all that drinking, I think a late night drunken bite is in order! Pizza East is always top of the list - the veal meatball pizza with lemon, sage and cream is unreal. after demolishing that ... Collapse. Zonk out. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Well until tonight!!!
