Heiress vs. Penniless: Cricket Sweaters

We don't like cricket knits, oh noooo.... We love them!

We were first bowled over by this snuggly sweaters back last autumn when we saw these low-v, cricket inspired jumpers storming down the Rag & Bone catwalk.

Within the blink of a fashionista's carefully mascaraed eye, celebs from Lindsay Lohan to Liv Tyler and Alessandra Ambrosio to Blair Eadie (of Atlantic Pacific).

But, by the time we got round to trying to get our mitts on a Rag & Bone Talia they were all sold out... Cue mega sad face. But at £250 a pop, our credit cards were breathing a sigh of relief.

Come spring, the sun was peeping out and we were pushing our knits to the back of the cupboard and making way for breezy maxi dresses and flip flops. And then bam, our varsity knit lustings were reignited by the Prada girls in sweaters with more than a hint of the Talia.

The street stylers and Rihanna were in on the act in no time...

The only issue? Our purses don't stretch to Prada. We were totally stumped about where we could get our hands on a piece of the cricket knit action...

STOP! Serious word of warning...

If you've woken up this morning feeling not-so-fabulous then you might want to reconsider reading on... We all have those days when no amount of Touche Éclat will cover up those mammoth sleep-deprived bags and your hair is bordering on that unacceptably greasy stage where not even piling it on top of your head, pineapple style, will mask the situ... We ALL have THOSE days, well almost all of us apart, that is, for my new Aussie girl crush, Tash Oakley who is practically perfect in every way.

A few key facts about this twenty-something goddess...

Firstly be prepared for the fact that she practically lives in a bikini and has a Victoria's Secret-esque bod sent from heaven! In fact, she's so into her bikinis that she's co-created an insanely popular blog called 'A Bikini A Day'. The portal covers everything from style to beauty to men but with bikinis at the forefront, obvs! 

 

Reading and weeping? Well there's a little bit of bikini good news for us all, Natasha and her model business partner in crime have created their very own 'Monday Swimwear' collection which is currently taking the bikini world by storm! Their focus is very much on the classic triangle style which is a firm fav of mine so top points there Tash!

Not just a pretty face, she can write too and does regularly on her own fashion and lifestyle blog aptly named, Natasha Oakley. Rightly so, the majority of the blog's content is picture-led and most importantly it enables you to shop her style...

Although originally from Australia, she currently lives in LA. Well, she's based there anyway, she actually travels the world and doesn't stay in any one place for very long judging by her addictive Instagram account...
