Hi. I'm Middle Mouse and I'm a shopaholic. Seriously! I am! All I seem to do at the moment is shop, shop, shop! I need to calm it and cut up my MasterCard but before I do meet my latest fashion obsession - Australian label, Maurie & Eve...

I first caught sight of the label via Aussie sex-pot Natasha Oakley who is a fan of the brand. She regularly rocks their beautiful clothes and looks drop dead gorgeous in them - check her out ... how could she not?! Anyway, putting my Tasha crush to one side and focusing back on the clothes... Maurie & Eve epitomises my perfect look - chic, fabulous and oh-so-girly. After obsessing over the delicious fitted dresses, shift tops and tube skirts for many hours I finally bit the bullet and gave in. Limiting myself to two pieces only I swiftly selected a killer navy & white striped dress...

And an organza navy number with bustier insert...

Coming all the way from the other side of the world, I expected to have to wait for weeks but oh no, no, no! I received my Maurie goodies within the week. Cue squeals of excitement and clapping of hands! I was worried I might be slapped around the chops with a hefty import tax bill but it actually only totted up to be £14 = not too shabby and one happy shopaholic! 

I now just need to resist checking the site everyday and pushing my credit card over the edge!

STOP! Serious word of warning...

If you've woken up this morning feeling not-so-fabulous then you might want to reconsider reading on... We all have those days when no amount of Touche Éclat will cover up those mammoth sleep-deprived bags and your hair is bordering on that unacceptably greasy stage where not even piling it on top of your head, pineapple style, will mask the situ... We ALL have THOSE days, well almost all of us apart, that is, for my new Aussie girl crush, Tash Oakley who is practically perfect in every way.

A few key facts about this twenty-something goddess...

Firstly be prepared for the fact that she practically lives in a bikini and has a Victoria's Secret-esque bod sent from heaven! In fact, she's so into her bikinis that she's co-created an insanely popular blog called 'A Bikini A Day'. The portal covers everything from style to beauty to men but with bikinis at the forefront, obvs! 

 

Reading and weeping? Well there's a little bit of bikini good news for us all, Natasha and her model business partner in crime have created their very own 'Monday Swimwear' collection which is currently taking the bikini world by storm! Their focus is very much on the classic triangle style which is a firm fav of mine so top points there Tash!

Not just a pretty face, she can write too and does regularly on her own fashion and lifestyle blog aptly named, Natasha Oakley. Rightly so, the majority of the blog's content is picture-led and most importantly it enables you to shop her style...

Although originally from Australia, she currently lives in LA. Well, she's based there anyway, she actually travels the world and doesn't stay in any one place for very long judging by her addictive Instagram account...

It Is All About Eve...

With only 30 days and counting until our much anticipated holiday to Barbados, we're in turbo-planning mode from here on out! We've got a lot to get sorted don't you know... from carefully selecting our restaurants of choice for the two week food fest, to the rigorous pre-beach body conditioning prep to planning our all-important day and night time holiday-fabulous attire!

We've pretty much got our foodie itinerary locked down with seaview and open-air terrace tables bagsied and our fitness and body buffing routine is in full swing! So that just leaves two weeks' worth of outfits to plan, purchase and pack - the 3 P's! 

So first thing's first - lets get our killer swimwear sorted! I struggle every year when it comes to finding flattering bikinis that fit like a glove and don't dig in accentuating the sorely lacking perfect beach bods we'd rather forget we didn't have. Past favourites include Seafolly, Insight and then cheap, cheerful and trusty triangle separates from Topshop and H&M. My major dislike when it comes to swimwear is forking out serious dosh for a scrap of fabric that then fades and stretches after a few beach visits - we've all experienced the baggy beach bum effect right?! Not cool! So this year I intend to seek out bikinis that look good AND last longer that a holiday fling... I have a good feeling about a brand I've recently found which goes by the name of All About Eve - an Aussie label that sells swimwear and clothing all boasting a boho, festival fun feel. Lots of bright colour, fierce fabrics and unusual styles that will be sure to get you noticed...

The fab PR at All About Eve was kind enough to send me through a few styles to rock on the white sands whilst we're away next month - a tropicana-tastic triangle design and a monochrome set with a lime green flash of cheekiness! I was also treated to a cuter than cute black & white sundress with a gorgeous low strappy back - the perfect daytime bikini cover-up... And, cinch in with a belt and add a slick of lipgloss and bam you've got a cocktails at sunset look... Here's a sneak preview of the bikini sets now but stay tuned for on-beach style snaps when I return hopefully a bronzed Barbados beach beauty, minus the baggy bum!
