Heiress vs Penniless: Blanket Wraps

If you haven't got the AW '14 ultimate style crush memo from Cara, Rosie and Olivia yet, we're here to let you know that this autumn's wardrobe superhero is a blanket.

Yes, that's right a blanket.

It's made of cashmere, is emblazoned with your initials and has been cast on the Burberry checkered knitting needles of Christopher Bailey, but all the same, it's still a blanket....

Want in? Who wouldn't?

The bad news? A piece of fall's greatest cape comes with a price tag of just short of a thousand pounds...

Burberry Check Wool and Cashmere Blanket Poncho

Hmmm, let's face it, that's fairly spenny for a blanket. If like us, you feel that bundling up in a Burberry would be punching above your cape, fear not, we've mined the high street for the very best blanks on a budget. Here's our pick of all that's snuggy-stylish for a fraction of the Burberry big bucks...

SS14 Trend Report: Sorbet

As it seems that Spring has finally sprung, we thought it was high time that we brought you a round-up of our favourite Spring/Summer trends and took you on a little canter through our top picks if you're looking to update your wardrobe with a sprinkling of new season pieces.

Over the next couple of weeks we'll be recapping on four key trends from the SS14 collections starting today with the swoonworthy sorbets which dominated the catwalks...

From Burberry (above) to Christopher Kane and Jason Wu to Prabal Gurung, a toothache-inducing sugary sweet palette reigned supreme across the fashion capitals.

If you invested in a pink coat last autumn, prepare to smugly pat yourself on the back, that trend definitely wasn't a flash in the pan and all the coolest girls will be rocking their strawberry milkshake-hued outerwear right through until bikini-season. If you missed out last year, ASOS to the rescue with a rather delicious Cocoon number...

£110

If a coat seems ludicrously cosy for this time of year, how about dipping your toe in the water of the trend with a pair of scrumptious sorbet shoes...

Jimmy Choo Anouk
€425

£30

And last but not least, our Polyvore round up of all things spring sorbet from ice-cream sundae nail colours to the ultimate slice of minty clutch bag amazingness...

Christmas Jumpers

So, it's December!

We've opened the first two doors of our advent calendars!

The ridiculously enormous tree is dominating the living room in Mouse Towers Hong Kong and the London Mice are on the Christmas tree case this evening!

If you're even a little Scrooge-like, it's probably time to stop reading now and to be frank, you're best off not coming back til January…

We all love absolutely everything about Christmas. We're just too excited for words that it is now officially ok to watch Christmas films on a loop, crack open the mince pies and hint at things we'd like to find under the tree in twenty three day's time (OMG, only twenty three days to go….!).

And to get festivities going in Hong Kong, this weekend I'll be wearing my very best Christmas jumper to not one but two parties while I drink my way through gallons of mulled wine! If you don't have your Christmas jumper yet, it's time to get shopping because on Friday 13 December it's Save The Children's Christmas Jumper Day. If you haven't had the make-it-better-with-a-sweater memo yet, we're talking one day when everyone dons their most festive knit, donates at least a pound to Save the Children and well and truly gets into the Christmas spirit while helping out a very good cause.

Thinking that your Christmas jumper is something you'd really rather keep behind closed doors? Then it's probably time to got involved in the Wooly Big Text Auction for the chance to bag yourself a snazzy knit designed by the very best of British fashion talent. We're talking…

Alexander McQueen…

…Vivienne Westwood…

…Burberry…

…and Mary Katrantzou.

Check out the full set here.

All you need to do is text the name of the designer whose jumper you're after along with the amount in pence you'd like to bid and the lowest unique bidder will walk away with their wooly… What are you waiting for?! Get involved!

If you're not feeling lucky, it's probably best to secure a back-up, so here's our pick of the Christmas crackers to keep you cosy this December...

They call me mellow Yellow!

Getting dressed each morning has never been so tricky, tiredness and hangovers aside, who knows what the weather will bring in London! One days it's 17 degrees and a cardi is enough and the next snow is on its way and its back to your fur trimmed parka and chunky knit scarf! Yet the high street is telling a very different story...it's is all about fresh Summer style!

River Island couldn't scream Scarf Print any louder, Topshop is all about pastels, prints and pink and Zara is full to the brim of white, lemon, white and more lemon!

Officially it is still Winter, however we all know from catwalks and lookbooks that colour is on its way! Why not jump on the bandwagon early, ditch the boring black and chunky boots and instead start to inject a highlight of S/S12 favourite colours into your looks....

Olivia Palermo (high up there on 3BM's style crush list) is using the highlight of colour like there's no tomorrow and I think she looks fab..!

At 3BM HQ we're loving Yellow....all shades from lemon to bright buttercup, it can do no wrong! We've scouted out  some golden goodies so feast your eyes on these....

And according to colour psychologists just wearing the colour lifts your spirits and makes you feel happy, what better excuse to go shopping! That's all for now yolks!!!
