OH HIIIIIII Friday!

It's so nearly the weekend Friday people! And if you're a super lucky Hong Kong-based Friday person, it's so nearly the LONG weekend! Double cause for end of week delirium!

 

This week two thirds of us have spent the week sniffing and spluttering with horrid winter colds. So strictly speaking, this week the Mice have mostly been sick... We'll spare you the tales of tissues and Lemsip though, and focus on the fun things we've managed to drag ourselves from our sick beds for... Looking forward to going nude with Christian Louboutin... Don't worry, that's not quite as naughty as it sounds! In fact, we're talking the launch of the Christian Louboutin Nudes collection. The God of shoes has cast his five best-selling red-soled styles in a myriad of skin tones to allow us all to find the perfect pair. The idea is that if your shoe is as close as possible to the colour of your skin you elongate your legs resulting in pins to rival Gisele's - sign us up!

 

But how do you find the perfect shade for you? Simple - hop over to the App store and download the Louboutin Shades app, take a snap of your foot and boom! you've got shoe-topia!

 

 

Hue identified, all you need to do is choose which of the five styles to go for. Decisions, decisions. Will it be Flo, Fifi or Pigalle? What about the Vendome? Or should you opt for the Simple Pump? Hmmm... we're thinking it's not often you're offered the chance to get legs up to your armpits, so it's probably just common sense to splash out on all five...

 

Feeling a little undecided over the news that Kate Moss is dusting off her design hat and will be dispatching her latest collection to a Topshop near you very soon... Hmmmm isn't it all a little de ja vu...

On the one hand we're quite excited to see what Mossy has up her super chic, supermodel sleeve this time, on the other, we're pretty sure we can guess and it's skinny jeans, waistcoats and tea dresses with a couple of vintagey-boho tweaks...

We were hyperactively over-excited back in 2007 when the super's first collection went on sale, but we were pretty much over it by collection number two, and we can't really see that 2014's offering is going to rock our worlds... So Kate - (we know you're reading) can you please pull out the big guns and make us eat our words?!

Sipping Medicinal Cocktails at our very favourite Hong Kong hot spot, 001. With no website, no Facebook page and absolutely no signage, this little speakeasy isn't the easiest place to locate which is probably why it remains so great. We've long been a fan of 001's mindblowing earl grey martinis and its sinfully delicious grilled cheese sandwiches, so when we heard it was playing host to a Ketel One discovery tasting, we scurried down there quick smart for a piece of the action...

To celebrate Ketel One finally docking in Hong Kong, 001's cocktail conniseurs shook up a selection of exciting concoctions. Our favourite was the very aptly named, Mrs Robinson - a refreshing cucumbery blend with a serious Ketel One kick!

We don't believe in keeping secrets so we're going to give you the 411 on 001... If you fancy an evening of languid lounging with some seriously good liquor, call up in advance to book your table (don't skip this part or you're certain to be turned away even if you manage to find it), then grab your compass, strap on your very best adventurer's stilettos and keep your eyes peeled for the unmarked black door nestled deep in the wet market...
