This Week The Mice Have Mostly Been...

This week has been mostly been chock-a-block full of work, work and more work which sadly means not much play :( The London mice did however squeeze in one night of fun at the hidden Old Street gem, Nightjar

Tucked behind a non-discreet black door with a mean and bossy door warden lady is a world of live music, flickering candles and chattering cool kids. The cocktails deserve a stand alone mention ... Palm Beach Special with Tanqueray gin pink grapefruit cocchi sweet vermouth floral crusta was a particular fav of ours! Anyway moving swiftly on, aside from our one night of freedom this week the mice have mostly been...

Getting super Christmas excited after devouring my first red cup of Starbucks heaven! You know holidays are comin' when those little red cups emerge. Ahh I'm getting that warm fuzzy feeling just writing this - I heart Christmas! So let me set the scene ... Tuesday arrives and I'm queueing at my local Starbucks waiting in line for my daily quick-fix of caffeine. I'm in my own little blurry morning world mentally running through my to-do list when my thoughts are rudely interrupted by a chirpy man (my worst type of morning man) loudly ordering a Gingerbread Latte. This got me thinking and questioning my routine skinny Caramel Macchiato order ... it's always good to push the boundaries and try something new ... on the other hand what if I opt for Mr Gingerbread and end up bitterly disappointed and minus my early caffeine hit ... how wrong can you go with Mr Gingerbread though ... maybe I should stick with what I know and like and be done with it ... BUZZZZZZZZ - time up! My mini inner battle again punctured with the two golden Starbucks questions ... 'what would you like and what's your name' - panic rises and my rash decision pops out ... 'I'll have a skinny Gingerbread Latte please and my name's Melissa'. No going back now! I'm not mad honest, it's just my morning coffee is about the only thing that gets me out of bed and on my way to work everyday so hopefully you can understand my dilemma??? Anyway this story you'll be pleased to hear has a happy ending - the Gingerbread Latte lived up to expectation and the nutmeg dusting on-top certainly put a spring in my step. Next up Toffee Nut Latte I think - I'll report back marks out of 10!

Splashing our cash on the Maison Martin Margiela H&M collection that launched in-stores and online yesterday. I must admit i'm a sucker when it comes to H&M collaborations and make an effort every time to nab myself a piece no matter how small or big. This time I actually had no intention of purchasing but just wanted to have a little nose ... always a bad idea! The first item I laid my eyes on I feel for hook, line and sinker and just HAD TO HAVE. Ladies and gentlemen let me introduce you to the boots of my dreams...

I'm weighing up whether I can justify the purchase of the similar black ankle boots too. Remember cost per wear...
